Probably answered already, but filmed at the Salten Sea in CA. They once tried to make it in to a city, but didn't really take off. It is cool to visit, but I don't think I could live with the smell LOL.

Great song and video. Always gets stuck in my head. Salton Sea was such a perfect choice for a post-Apocalyptic atmosphere. It is all but abandoned these days with just some very die-hard residents when it was once touted as the next "it" resort area near Palm Springs, CA. My in-laws even bought property there back in the day...it never paid off, lol. Such an amazing collaboration.

You mention things like "pizzicato" and force me to remember all the musical terminology from my early years, plus I usually learn additional things I didn't know (usually with the intricacies of the percussion that I am not as familiar with). The visibly vibrating string you pointed out on the cello was, like your guitar, an A string! It's the thinnest string on the cello. Cellos and violas have C, G, D and A strings. Basses and violins have G, D, A and E strings.

Speaking of stringed instruments, Avi wrote and recorded his song Fields and Pier. Kevin played his cello in the recording but is not shown on the video. Avi had the song pitched a bit lower than the normal string setting on a cello, so Kevin had to adjust his strings to match Avi's voice.
