Matt and Kirsten did it for me on this one. They were the icing on the cake for this ride. They got busy and took this classic hymn to a whole other level. But their 'ride or die' partners were right there in the mix with that rock-steady support adding what sounded like the voice of a thousand Angels to the mix. I absolutely love PTX. They are amazing. Like fine wine, they just get better with time. ❤❤

With Pentatonics, it’s sometimes easy to forget they’re singing acapella … their arrangements are beyond harmonizing as you were saying. That being said, I find they bring the focus too much on their technical mastery. I very much want a heartfelt emotional connection, especially with a sing like this. I know I’m biased, but Gabriel Henrique’s cover has brought me to tears. He takes you to church (even if you’re a gentile). ❤(sorry Mitch! 🤣)

I saw them in Orlando last Wednesday night. I had seats in the ninth row floor and their concert was absolutely stunning. About halfway through the concert, they switched to stage B, which was right in the middle of the concert floor and I was just a few rows from the second stage. Here they performed more intimate and harmonious songs.
