Beautiful song done well by both "groups" but there is just something about Pentatonix that sets them apart for me. Goose bumps are a great indicator of how much I like a song and I definitely got them when Kirstie began her little belt and also when Kevin was playing his cello and doing percussion with his mouth simultaneously. I really enjoyed your reaction choice, thank you!

Whenever Pentatonix breaks out of the strictly a cappella genre, 95% of the time they get Kevin to play his cello - and continue to beatbox as he does! The cello is my favorite string instrument, and the emotions that it evokes fit this song so beautifully, I'm almost surprised they didn't use it in the original (I think they were using a violin there). Not to take anything away from Lady Gaga, but when Kirstin starts her belt, I just prefer her voice to the original. For a suggestion, here's something you may not be familiar with: the Disney movie Encanto, the song "We Don't Talk About Bruno" performed by the original cast, and the cover of it by VoicePlay (another a cappella group) with guest artist Ashley Diane. Both are fun, but VoicePlay does an amazing job of making the song their own.

I hadn't listened to the original before, so thanks for that. I find that PTX has done a far better job of the song. The cello adds a great deal of the emotions into the song and then so do both Scott and Kirstie , especially with her powerful belt!!

Us Pentaholics welcome you. Yes it is contagious and spreads easy. Luckily the symptoms are not serious, chills, goosebumps, tears, smiles, and contentment. No need for medical treatment, no dual oraffix thermometers, no shots involved. Both versions are very, very nice. I had suggested PTX vs Floor but this sated me. Kirstie was the star of the day for me. I see you are doing more Home Free. You can become fried, just as catchy, with similar symptoms. Don't worry about the time, your insights and comments are important to the whole show. Again a good show and thanks Jeff.

I love that you took my advice and put Pentatonix at the front of the title! I haven’t been on KZbin for several days, but when I got on this afternoon it was so easy to see which videos were PTX reactions. Great reaction! Thanks. I enjoyed hearing the original for the first time. Please keep doing originals with Pentatonix covers - there's a lot to choose from. Try Mad World and Cheerleader. I'd also like you to do Encanto's We Don't Talk About Bruno and Voiceplay's cover which I think is outstanding.

I'd really like you to react some of pentatonix originals. Do you only react to covers? I'd recommend the popspring 2016 performance of Can't Sleep Love or the official videos for Happy Now, or coffee in bed. Wow, I had not listened to them back-to-back before and that was fabulous. I agree, PTXis freaking good, and Kevin on the cello is such a treat. If you have a minute, it would be worth watching his cello feature from the Hollywood Bowl concert they did a couple of months ago. It’s stunning. For a cover suggestion, how about Me and Bobby McGee from Kris and Janis? The reminder of Kris Kristoferson (sp?) came to mind because of the movie connection. The version with him and Barbra Streisand is still my favorite. Peace from Ohio …

A youtube video of Kevin cello-boxing is how Scott originally found Kevin, so he does cello-boxing in every live concert on tour! Also, they have 3 videos with Lindsey Sterling on violin, Scott on piano on his original song, Thank You, & this year's holiday album has instruments as they have collaborators from around the world to create sounds unique to that culture-LangLang on Piano, Lea Salonga, & Megan Trainor to name a few!

PTX is always respectful of the original, but Scott is a better singer then Bradley (not all that surprising). Also, the arrangement of the PTX version sets it apart in my opinion.
