Totally agree, I have a couple Pentax cameras and they are definitely priced well in the market right now, I wouldn’t want to pay any more than $30 for certain ones. I’ve always felt like the Pentax point and shoots and other brands that have similar cameras should almost be viewed like a step up from disposable cameras, disposables are tons of fun but the price of them (at least in my area) keeps going up 😢. I’ve always viewed them as a replacement, for someone not super super serious but just likes the look of film and taking something with them when they are out with friends or something. Plus the pros are you can try different films (even the pricey ones or the really cheap ones) that might not be available in a disposable! 😅

Crazy... the local store had a lot of "new" old stock ones of these for about $30... so I bought like 3 of them (so I could load them each with different films I guess and to have backups...). The big appeal here was the size and convenience (and the cost). I have regular 35mm SLRs but sometimes it's not practical to get everything together and this camera is so nice because it's small and ready to go pretty much at any time and it fits in a coat pocket.

I’m kinda fond of my Nikon Lite Touch 130ED. I try to avoid zooming out with it since it’s like f/11 @ 130mm but shooting at its widest is pretty good.

I have one that has a fancy woodgrain handle, the downside is the top display doesn't work, so I wouldn't want to use it unless I could just finish a roll in a hurry. Or just never really know what was going on.

I just saw your review. And I disagree. I have seen several of these reviews about this camera and all say basic settings. A bulb setting is not basic. I do not know of many point and shoot cameras that have bulb settings and can do long exposures. All the reviews fail to mention the bulb setting with this camera. It is good for long exposures even with a flash. Maybe use it at night with flash when you are taking photos . Maybe your photos will stand out. I have had nothing but good luck with these cameras. As well as my Samsung Evocas which is another point and shoot with a bulb setting. My photos on that come out correctly exposed at all times.I just bought another Pentax IQ zoom a few weeks ago at a thrift store in almost mint condition. $4.25 is what I paid for it. It turns on and functions when I put the battery in.
