They banned all the accounts as expected and there will be no new accounts issued to those who were innocent, despite whatever bullshit platitudes they puke into our eyes about “resolving the issue” for the innocent players. They did finally sort it all out just in time for Turkey Hunt this year!!! Yes, they addressed it live on Twitch; not sure about punishments but they said offenders were dealt with! The accounts were accidentally Developer Only accts and they had to fix the mess they made and make things right. But, according to Wargaming NA staff; they solved it all now. They are hoping for an " Easter Sheriff " weekend next!!! : - )

@@ChivalrousVeteran Map picker did not used to be a thing originally on sheriffs, that was added randomly later, around the middle and or end of gold league originally. Either that or there was more than one type of 'sheriff' account, as back then there were plenty of random accounts (still are) that you can't see the stats on, but they can play pubs, essentially have most or all of the tanks that non-super-press accounts (ones that big streamers who've never played WOT before would be given, they have access to VERY special tanks and variants that NO ONE else does) that also do not give gold for killing them nor do they have the target on their name in the playerlist. I remember being cheeky with friends on these accounts and picking Mittengard in tier 10 and watching the chat flip out, WT E100s dying VERY quickly before they could rush down the hill if they spawned up at the top, while we were in Mauses and VK 72s. I also know that the accounts have flags, as does most every game that has distinct 'hidden or visible classes' or permissions and it's not that they're hard to remove as domo said, it's that they either don't know what they're doing or whomever has access to remove individual permissions of an account type is either in RU and or these changes require a total server restart to go into effect. Reason I imagine technical knowledge not being out of the question is because WG staff used to claim they "don't have the means to check IP addresses that logged into a gold league account" when people were getting on other teams' accounts on occasion and intentionally getting that team in trouble by saying bad things in chat, team killing, etc. But who knows.

I've been given a Sheriff's account twice and the rules were made clear we are not to abuse them for our own benefit. These were for events to give out gold and we could have fun. With regards to platoons they said this: " You can platoon with friends, but don't try anything shifty. ", so these guys knew exactly what they were doing and should have their accounts removed.

In order to clear up any confusion, this is absolutely considered a violation of the EULA. Sanctions incurred while playing on a Sheriff or Spotlight account will be applied to the player's main account. If you have replay evidence of more of this behavior please submit it to our Rules Violation team so that we can take appropriate action.

To back up what @DatBoyGuru said, we have map pick on our HUNT (Asia's version of Sheriff) accounts and we've been specifically told to not touch it. Map pick has been an option for this accounts since the accounts were a thing, I'm talking as far back as 2013-2014. Each time we've been given these accounts on Asia, staff have told us that we are to not use this function.

I honestly don't see what satisfaction there is in cheating your way to a 3-mark. So you get a nice little sticker on the barrel of your tank, but every time you see it you'll know its fake. In his book Racing through the Dark, former cyclist David Millar describes standing on the podium of the 2003 World Time Trial Championship and feeling empty, knowing that the only reason he won was through doping. This is the same thing, except when you dope in professional sports you can earn millions if you aren't caught; in WoT you get a pretty sticker on your tank and risk losing your account forever! The main issue is not even them getting the marks, it's the fact that in the game, when you look at a player with 3 marks you get the sense that that player is good, but then they have 0 sense of team play and are selfish as shit, and I find a lot of these players in games I play, over and over again

Clarification: 1) *Edit* Force leadership lied to me about kicking the guilty members. They all just changed their names and or got promoted on their alt accounts and nothing changed. To this day they still claim to be innocent and treat me like the villain for this video. 2) Pm_loves_hoarce shared a picture of him 3 marking the T-100 on mines, as evidence it wasn't on Prok, which is the map I first saw him in. So he's not map picking, but the platoon with the sheriff accounts is still questionable. 3) The accounts are not "Clan Spotlight" accounts, but rather "Community League" accounts. CL was a league sponsored by Corsair, which was a competitive 5 v 5 format. In some cases, the CL teams ended up being people from the same clan, so it wasn't like a clan spotlight when the accounts were given out, they just happened to be in the same clan. The accounts do give gold compensation when killed and map picks are available. 4) Wheels are turning to get this fixed because of the video, so thank you guys for your comments.

When access is given to Sheriff accounts on those special weekends (I've done it 4 times now) the first thing we are told is that if you do anything "shady" your real account will face sanctions. The accounts of the sheriffs in this case should receive month-long bans at the least. The ones 3 marking should be either permabanned or account reset....START ALL OVER BOYS.

Tru The reason behind the T57 and Bat isnt because of the clip potential. Its because of Tank Class. so the second example you see 2 heavys and 1 medium in platoon in both teams.

The same people dare judge others and stomp them on their performance. Game rigging is obvious during late night and early mornings. It is disgusting and I don't see why I should be involved with this game anymore. I play 15 games and I am done then I resume my campaigns on solo games. Some have many accounts and lose on purpose to drop stats on certain tanks they are marking on their main account. Fortunately new players around tier 5 are nor corrupted yet, we see this in high tiers.

You know it is a funny thing TRUvoodoo, sometimes I platoon with Claus Kellerman when he is in his Sheriffs account, and I will be watching his stream while platooning with him in his sheriffs account and I never once seen him pick maps. And I will gladly platoon with any CC who has a sheriffs account, just to have some fun platooning with a CC. But what you are pointing out is absolutely wrong and everyone caught doing it should be banned. But I have seen people using alt accounts, to mark their tanks by playing against themselves on opposing teams, and lordsheen is one of those I have seen using alt accounts. As I got a game with him where both his accounts was on the same team, and both using EBR's.

Bro I literally saw a streamer (forgot his name) on the NA server going for the spotting record, and he was choosing maps and was picking prokorovka every time. He was a good player but if you are rigging the matchmaking and play that map over and over again compared to the enemy ebr who happened to just get that map once that is extremely unfair. And how can you even feel accomplished when your riggin the match making to give you the same map everytime.

I recently found your channel and have been watching some videos. Awhile back another tank youtuber was designated a C.C. and started playing his Sherriff account with friends. Watching on Twitch I noticed 4 battles in a row on Prokarova(I know I massacred that spelling) so I messaged him saying how crazy you playing a AMX 13 90 and getting the same open map 4 battles in a row. That's when he told his chat he was able to pick which map to play. You know I don't think that's fair and I believe WG should let Sheriffs accounts be like regular accounts and not having every skill/perk in the game

Besides this, there is very solid evidence that when the friends don't all get on the same team, they tell the padded platoon where their teammates are so they can find them and always know just where to go. I think that is a whole lot more shoddy.

Dude WG doesn't give a fuck. I put a ticket in for this very thing and nothing happened. I sent the replay, got the standard reply message. I watched the account for a about a week and it was online every day. And he got his three mark in the tank.

So this could be the reason that I got killed by an enemy arty while using an arty on a direct hit after relocating 30 seconds after my shot in 3 different games and one of the matches I'm moving so fast using tier 9 french arty while relocating. I suspected enemy arty using cheats.... Ps: I relocate immediately after shot!!! I'm not spotted either!

This is the reason why I stopped playing World of Tanks on a constant basis...Too many people cheating. I can imagine in ranked battles how many people are currently cheating in order to get rank 1. the game is not fun anymore even with the upcoming changes. Wargaming doesnt care about the player base since alot of people have been reporting this stuff since lord knows when. Im a 51% rating player and its sad that people at my rating or higher are resorting to tactics like that. I may pop in and play a few games but thats the extent of me playing. all the cool camo and stuff from the game is not even worth obtaining anymore.

it has always been rigged. I hardly play anymore, but my account got "nerfed" after i team killed a staff member in the very first sherif event years ago (he promised to ruin my account). Apparently since that game i do not know how to aim and use my armor :D And that boys and girls, is why staff members should not play the game :P But just imagine wanting to be that good you have 3 marks but finding out you just don't have the skill...... you got to get it somehow ;)

It's pretty far fetched for someone to go to through all that, I don't care if they get 3 or 5 marks and how they got it I don't give a damn about their marks, I only care about my own marks honourably and that's it no one will ever drive me mad about how they got their marks. The only thing that worries me about this video is sherrif accounts like that chieftain and choosing same map over and over again yet I do feel that wargaming has done this on purpose so that sherrif stats look good and sherrifs don't get bored with it and quit playing sherrif accounts and go back to their main account because after all an extra sherrif account is a huge huge commitment of someone's time to a wargaming promotion and idea.

People drive the marks up by doing what they were doing, making it harder for you to get your own marks. Plus you will lose in general if you encounter them...they go into the map with the perfect tanks every time

I am an average player who has been playing this game for about 7 years. I play for the fun of it, for the entertainment and for relaxation. Over the years I have frequently been frustrated with some obvious cheating and the abusive nature of some in chat (this was partly resolved when they cut out chat between opponents). It culminated about 3 years ago when I had had a gut full and I stopped playing for about a year. I eventually picked up the game again but made two promises to myself: 1. Never spend another cent on the game. 2. Only play lower tiers. The second part makes the game enjoyable once again because at the lower tiers their is far less chance of the behaviour shown in this clip. Sure, it still goes on. But in general the new players are just out having a bunch of fun.

I played sheriffs account and loved it, I don't platoon while in sheriffs account. I love map picking, but I split between picking maps and random. I'm pretty sure this is a big problem in clan spotlight sheriffs. Reminds me of rigging the T22's.

Whats ironic voodoo, is ive been a player since US release, and i have seen a few of veterans in the past 6 months completely rocket up the leaderboards, and through my own intuition (and being a capable player myself, 56% 2900 wn8) seen some of these veteran clans and players pull of games that is beyond their own punching weight, far more frequently, especially in tanks that are far beyond their capabilites, i give respect where it's due, but players jumping (within a week) from a 70% moe in the chieftain, to a 98% is not a statistical hiccup, it's obvious exploitation. It's complete cheating, platoons is fine, but what you show exemplifies obvious misconduct. Tanks is really easy to follow the rules, and if someone is in a gray area, it is ONLY because they know it's a gray area.

@@IR-xy3ij what i intended to say, is are Jon said, a chieftain with 200+ battles with Sub 2 mark by a wide margin, such as struggling to maintain 66% MOE for months, then going to 98% within a week, going from 2400 recents in a tier X, than within a week going upward of 3400 is a huge difference. 25% increase is not something that can be done without exploitation. I can peak at 10% a day, but to go above 25% for a whole week, and 3 mark THE MOST DIFFICULT tank a week a later.. nope.

Yeah this hits hard for me. I was really close to 2-marking my T92 (the light tank). First tank I've ever been at 79% in. Was playing it regularly to grind credits. It's a terrible light tank but it makes good credits. Anyway, 3 battles in a row I ended up with 0 damage 0 spotting 0-15 steamrolls. Stats dropped from 79% to 68% in 3 battles. Tell me that isn't screwed up. I got so discouraged that I haven't really been playing it much since then. I was literally #5 on the server for a few days and then suddenly I'm #55 or something. So frustrating. Seeing that some people are able to cheat this makes it even worse.

@@juanzulu1318 A Sheriff account is an account given to NA Community Contributors. The account comes loaded with gold, coin & bonds, along with nearly every tank in the game, including premium & reward tanks. When an enemy player kills a tank from a sheriff account they get 250 gold bonus. Each crew member has all available skills\perks, so it's shameful to see Claus Kellerman platoon in Pz 1C with another CC and laugh at the enemy team when he gets a topgun. (Pz 1 C commander is also radio op, gunner and loader so on a sheriff account they have 20 skills\perks.)

This happened to me last week. Same map and his buddy was on Super Conq. The Sheriff was super agro and hardly did any dmg. The Super Conq was poking and the Chief played by Sheriff was only protecting him. The Sheriff literarily controlled me while his buddy did the dmg. I though it was weird but did know what was happening.

Good video. But, I disagree with you about map picking and Community Contributors. I think it would be good if CCs were able to pick maps, to make map guides easier to make. I remember watching an iyouxin stream where he said it would be great if he could play 50 battles straight on Mines, so he'd have a large database of games to work with when making guides. You're 110% right though that sheriff accounts shouldn't get this. I hope it gets fixed. Thanks for making the video1

With diligence, we are able to sort our replays and get enough footage for a map review, it just takes a while. But yeah, that would be nice and I'm sure they could make special accounts for that purpose, they are usually more than willing to help us. If it was strictly for a video, then yeah, that would be okay imo too.

It's a shame that people have to take advantage of things which were meant for fun and ruin it for everyone else :/ WG just seem to be getting more and more lazy over the years im sure of it..... More bugs and issues are occuring on a much more regular basis and now this!?, something is not right at all and it needs to stop.
