The ones who actually worked their way to the top rather than using a premium tank to get there without the work are usually the better players. Most low skill players won't have the patience to lose all the way to tier X. They might make it to tier 5 before they get sick of being killed 50 times or more per day and then they quit.

A recent update to world of tanks bliz revamped the lower tiers. The time to kill is now massive, as most guns do 40 damage. Many of the old derps (160 dmg) now do 135 instead. I like it a lot.

There's no question low tier HP is a joke. I've already talked about this but literally every tank at tier 1-4 should have their HP nearly doubled, and tier 5 and 6 should have their HP increased by 30-40%. How are newbies supposed to learn if they die in 2-3 seconds every time they see an enemy tank? Not even remotely forgiving.

MrEpic01 - Hopefully, 2019 is the year where low tiers get adjusted. This "send new players up to Tier 6 as fast as possible" band-aid is just not working, and making mid-tiers a joke. Also, to add another suggestion to your idea, RNG variance of damage and penetration should change depending on the caliber of the gun similar to how WoWS treats their guns when it comes to bonuses. Under 90 can be ±25%. 90-110: ±20%. 110-150: ±15% Above 150: ±10%. Having consistency and preventing the ability of people one-shotting tanks with luck would make things far more fair.

For me The best lower tier with durp gun is m2 medium. Really have a lot of fun playing it. Thought it's not the same as before HE shells nerf but still not so bad

Truue. I had my first Pool’s Medal in that tank, literally under a hundred games in. On Mines, got to the hill and just held it against all takers. Such a fun machine (it was just a tad bit OP back when I still played).

The special feature of the P43 is probably its frontal Armour. It has 80mm of frontal Armour on a 45 slope making its very resistant against lower tiered tanks and you can angle it to make it even harder for the enemy to pen you.

I agree with you QB about the importance of crew skills. When I began playing the game I had no idea why the enemy was out spotting me and it triggered me immensely. However, as my crew slowly increased its skill I could notice my performance increasing drastically. Small things make the difference. Great video as always.

There's a way to over-train your crews so you start with a 100% crew. If you have about 60-80% of a crew skill you can reset it then move it to the next tank using silver and the excess xp will fill that last 10-25% xp needed to 100% your crew.

Okay the P.43, the first Italian tank with the Commander/Gunner/Driver/Loader layout. If you have the garage slots, keep it. As you grind you can develop cheap crews in it and then transfer them into the higher tier tanks. This will save you a LOT of credits, pain or money as you progress the Italian line.

It was how i grinded my p43 with the gun from the previus one. The only real downfall from the top gun is the shell velocity of the shells on this gun is very low compared to the top gun but if you get used to that fact you will do well in it

QB, If you want a harder challenge, switch hands; if you mouse right handed, switch to left, and use the right hand on the keyboard. Most people are pretty specific on their hand assignments, and this will be a good challenge. Of course, you will still know vision better than newbies but your mechanics will be substantially hampered.

The template matchmaking usually gives a match of 7x tier IV, 5x tier V and 3x tier VI. You do the maths. Most of the matches will be vs. tier VI. Even even at tier V you rarely get full pens. AP is just more reliable.

I like game-play that is forgiving and having more health at all tiers fosters better games and allows real skill. One or two shooting people is fun for a short time, but gets real boring - unless stat padding like many do.

QB, in my opinion, the reason it seems like top 3 tiers have better battles is because the armor to pen RNG plays a lot more evenly. For instance, a lot of top tier heavy tanks have armor that will bounce rounds when angled correctly and usually has very easy deflection angles, meaning you can simply turn the turret or hull to get the max thickness for your armor. But first heavies that you unlock (DW2, Churchill Mk.I, KV-1S, T1 Heavy, B1, Type 91 Heavy, and the Emil I) are all slow, have marginally better armor than the best medium tanks of their respective tiers, have marginally worse guns than the above average TDs of their respective tiers, and their armor does not angle well. Same with mediums and TDs save for the one I absolutely know of, Matilda II. From my experience, Heavy tanks are the best reference to learn how to angle to deflect, but the first ones everyone can get are such hot garbage that I go back to my Matilda II to get the satisfaction of easy bounces. Like flakkannons don't help the process at all since they act like mini HE rounds and EVERYONE uses them in their German light tanks from tiers 1-3. This comes all around of since heavy tanking sucks, light tanking/scouting sucks, artillery's okay; but you catch a lot of s**t from everyone else, the 2 best ways to play is quasi kemping bucsh in a TD (the entire front of your TD is sticking out of said bucsh) or YOLO Jenkins in a medium, which will end up being one shotted by a bucsh kemping TD. Wargaming has to do something to re-balance the mid tier vehicles to more solidly introduce high tier tactics.

Must agree with the HP observation. Bought myself an ELC AMX recently and was reminded of how poor the hitpoints of my tier 5 look compared to the alpha of higher tier tanks. They should definitely give tiers 4 and 5 more HP to make it not feel as unpleasant when you are at the bottom of the team. Though it might have something to do with alpha damage more than anything else, from tier 8 to 10 alpha damage barely changes, making the main difference the frequency at which you get hit, from tiers 4 to 6 damage increases drastically from 175 being a lot at tier 4 to 300 at tier 5 and 390 at tier 6, the jump feels way too high.

Yo there, @QuickyBaby , two things: The quick low tier shoot to kill ratio is more realistic than that of high tier tanks for example. Any real tank can kill another with ONE shot, so the high tier shot ratio is adequate for a game. The fact that you playforfree makes the game less desirable for new players when they get clubbed by yourself or any other decent to good player that has more than 10000 battles.

I enjoyed both these tanks. However when playing the tier 4 the 70he pen did less damage on many tanks with 40-50 armor. While in theory it's great i could not get it to work as prescribed and yes i was aiming at weak sides and such. Much like the Swedish tier 3 or 4 with only derp guns. Sounds and looks great but hard to work.

That was interesting. For various reasons I play F2P but one advantage of that is I can have multiple accounts where I take an account and devote it to one or two countries. I've got one now that has Germans and Italians. My primary interest in the game is playing the historical tanks. It's been interesting playing the Italians. Because of this though - I end up playing a lot of low tier tanks. I think one of the biggest problems for low tier players though is the few maps you get. It's like they want to force you to move up out of boredom but what they accomplish is making people quit out of boredom. As to playing higher tiers on a F2P account ... there's real problems with that. Essentially, you aren't getting paid enough money to play those expensive tanks if you're an average player. .

After 16k battles and many tier10 tanks, I have just started the AMX50 line at tier 3. And I have to say, I had some very interesting battles, tense to the last moments at low tier. Nothing I can say about the 15:4 roflstomps happening at hightier these days. I'm not sure why that is, but I suspect it started with the dreadful 3/5/7 and people loosing patience quickly after being bottom tier for 2 hours

Yes sure, medium on medium duels at high tiers are fun and engaging. Lots of skill involved, but it's kind of a moot point since the MM is flooded with 4005s and 183s, arty, superheavy tanks that have no weakspots and can camp chokepoints forever and can lolpen your medium anywhere for half your hitpoints.

If there is one takeaway of these free to play experiments (shishx, QB) all HE loadouts (DEZ, skill4ltu) and all other kinds of ridiculous challenges, it is the fact that the skill gap between players is insanely high. Stats and/or experience-based MM IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST.

My experience in low tiers: its all good and fun even with sht tanks and crews but then the seal clubbers arrive with their pz 1cs, luchs, matildas and t67s. Then as QB says with the low hp u just get deleted in seconds. After that i take my t-50-2 and drive it down mid then alt f4 and go for a smoke.

As a WT player, new player suffering in WoT is nothing compared to how badly new players get destroyed in WT, and not only they die quicker and often without firing a single shot, but also they suffer for much longer as grind in WT is way more brutal. But as veteran WT player that have every single tank unlocked and crews maxed out, what a challenging game that is. Honestly I tried returning to WoT not long ago just to see how it feels after so long brake, it just feels stale and boring to me. It is a shame btw that you probably cannot show any WT content due to agreement with War Gaming. You have a very interesting view point in WoT and I would have loved to hear your thoughts on modern War Thunder. In terms of ground forces, honestly it is a completely different game from the beta time (Recently I have found some old videos I recorded of my gameplay beta and boy I did not realized exactly how much everything changed).

I remember when in Wow I witnessed duel of 80lvl DK vs. 78lvl shaman and 79lvl mage. He obliterated them, but was on low enough hp and had such a bad luck that I killed him with my Arcane Missiles when I was around 40lvl with my mage. Good memories :D

I think the whole italian medium tree is pretty strong. Some of the tanks are very strong, if not to strong, and there isn't a tank thats terrible I feel - although I am "only" at Tier 7 at the moment. So far the tanks are good or very good. They might lack a bit mobility, but besides that? They perform really well

I had that with T29. I had stock everything and I lost game after game with 300 dmg because of the awful 128 pen. I had 18% win ratio. Then i got the 90 mm. Got op to 40%. Good turret and 105mm and everything else upgraded got me to 57%

The HE she'll on the p26/40 is only good if your top tier like QB is... And I have one it would take 15 games to get a top tier game
