I appreciate all the work that you put into these videos and your love for Ecuador. I know editing can be tedious! My son and I are planning on traveling to Ecuador in a couple months (coming back after many years) and will be monitoring the situation. I am hopeful that things are improving.

Hola Ace! Your reporting has been an eye-opener on the obstacles that the young Ecuadorian people are facing during these crazy and unstable financial times. Kudos on your astute outlook of the current situation in Ecuador. Keep safe

Muchas gracias! I feel like it’s important to talk about what’s happening to some extent to acknowledge the existence of a possible “problem” and as such begin trying to find a solution for it. We’re all trying our best and you can best believe we will keep trying our best. Thanks for your good wishes and hope all is well for you! 😁

Interesting convo. In the end however, there are only so many places people can put their eyes. It's similar to back in the pre-internet days when young kids wanted to be Hollywood stars. Sure, some people make it, but it's rare. You are actually doing very well and your channel is growing!

You’re absolutely right! I had forgotten that before KZbin most people thought about becoming movie stars and at some point rock stars. I had my own dreams but never did I imagine I’d be doing KZbin, I thought I didn’t have it in me since I just assumed everyone doing it had to have a talent for it. We’re getting there and if I’m consistent we’ll have a much bigger community soon. Could you imagine if the community grew to over 10k subscribers? It would be crazy awesome! 🎉

Nice content! I have to brush up my Spanish😁 In the hope to learn I use the subtitle in Spanish, but I am not sure if the translation is correct Spanish. @GM Ace can you comment on that?

Appreciate you checking it out and i think this was a video where I let Google translate my English script. There are some past videos when I had more time to check both English and Spanish subs/captions but that’s definitely not the case now 🥲

How can your friend work less than minimum wage? Is it because she does not work full time? Isn't minimum wage the law? Or is that one of those no-so-well-enforced laws?
@GMAceM10 ай бұрын
It’s a weird thing really because she works from 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday. The job itself isn’t a crazy sought out job but if laws are what they are then she shouldn’t be receiving less than minimum wage, if anything she works an extra hour per day meaning she should earn more than that. It’s not an isolated case either but normally you hear more about people not getting minimum wage when it comes to foreigners (especially from Latin America) since it can be questionable if they should even be in the country so businesses take advantage to underpay them. My friend definitely wants to leave the job but with nothing else available and her already holding out with the bare minimum, and that’s thanks to help from her parents, it just isn’t possible.

Why do u need a permit to film in a park, it's a public place?
@GMAceM10 ай бұрын
It’s pretty strange indeed but it’s probably just a protocol thing. Like if for some reason I were trash talking the park, at least they screened me beforehand and stopped me from doing so. I’ll probably go one of these days since I do plan on doing more interviews I just don’t want them to do what they did once where they asked me to send an email which they never reply to.

"Been some incoveniences at the park...." Uh oh. Vaccinators?!?
@GMAceM10 ай бұрын
Thankfully not! The park does have its problems with crime (robbers) but that’s more if you’re walking around the perimeter. The situation is more of a formal one in the sense that they say you need permission to record because the park is appearing in the video and that could ruin the image of the park. It really sounds nitpicky because I’m not even necessarily talking about the park when I’m recording most of the time but it just seems to be protocol. Other places are very “special” about how you record at their place because they’re worried that something said or shown could give a bad image of the place and cause people not to visit it.

@@GMAceMor the other way around, when people see the park, they visit it. Sounds like communism (excessive control)
