People Are Getting Fired... Asphalt 9 on Nintendo Switch

Can’t believe Gameloft could of had a team that had the potential to make newer players join A9: Legends Unite. This is something that you did said about AAA devs laying off a lot of employers who spend a lot of their time working on these games and making players recommend them to other and play. Honestly I would of like to see them maybe join the Android team since there are some low-end phones that struggle to render the graphics, they can literally optimize a lot on it to make it easier to play. Imagine A9: Legends Unite running on maybe Android 7-8 with no optimization. It would be a pain. Even though I am so sad to see these guys go, I want to thank them for the support they’ve given to this platform, ever since I started playing back in October 2019. So from the 17th of July, it looks like Gameloft really wants a 2nd round to get me to retire from the game, because the first time, they almost had it, but failed.

Yeah bro it is pain to play in MP. Imagine you are in 1st position and then suddenly your opponent teleport front of you. There are so many bugs in this game. It's so hard to play with lag 😢

I do hope at the very least some people from the Cluj offices got moved into whatever offices are going to be handling Unite. Ideally, all of them would be moved (as long as they wanted the move too)

Would be glad if they would introduce a new mp2 season because nearly every mp2 is credits rush. But I will also say huge thanks to the developer team for all these fun events.

Yeah. That's what I meant when I said that it's been pretty empty in the switch for a while now, but it could be low morale going on, knowing you'll be axed soon, must be extremely demotivating.

The Switch version has Quick Play and you can play it offline? These features MUST come to the global version. This would be awesome, a specially the ability to play offline!

It seems like lay-offs are became a norm in gaming companies now. It's a tough task in order to keep the progression from one platform aligned with another, and i felt pity to see the Switch team is waiting for lay-offs once Unite is released.

Yeah. And since this team was the one that has been working on the switch all this time, who better than them to keep it going. If they just fired them to get the global team also doing the switch version, I feel they will be stretched thinner than they already are, and that's never good.

Imagine being dumped with the task of "merge one year worth of UPDATES with all the features that were added and removed, all the cars, tracks, etc, in a matter of a couple months... and once you're done doing all that, you're also fired". That's sadly what's going on with them.

Yeah. But given how the global version has ALWAYS refused to do it, I fear they will be like "new game, new rules, even switch is always online now"
