How could it be to conservative??🙄 no such thing! May I suggest you go to California. Hunting and fishing is the best in the states as far as I’m concerned. The people and drivers here are some of the nicest I’ve met. In Utah I thought the middle finger was welcome to Utah. 🤷♂️. I drove 15 min to see the beautiful forests, and the farms and tractors bring joy to my heart. I’ve watched so many states plow up farmland, almond orchards, fruit, orchards, and build houses are put in hemp. I’m not Mormon but have no problem with them, I talk and interact with them and never had them pushed there’s view on me at all. Wages ? Well I’m retired so I really don’t know what they are here, but gas and fuel is just as comparable then most red states. Go visit California and we can have that conversation. The winters, haven’t experienced one yet, but Utah had some severe weathers. Entertainment? Hmm I’m to old to go to a concert or large crowds if you like entertainment go to Vegas very expensive lots of HOA’s high taxes! Sales tax could not believe it’s 6% here.🥰🥰 wow go to Vegas or California Utah it’s much more there. Property tax I was paying 4000 a year in California here I’m paying 1100 a year. If there one bitch I have, is your code, as retired contractor in the state of California, which is way over regulated the regulations here hardly nothing which is not good when you get into some of the land development, electrical 😳😳😳 among other things. One common regret: the state betrayed their citizenship during COVID, enforcing lockdowns. I had to have a letter telling police if they stopped me that my job at the Lab was necessary. Then that same Lab you mentioned fired 10% of their workforce for refusing an experimental drug which killed about six employees in one year according to their own leaked records. This same Lab dominates local politics, pushing DEI hiring, and intimidates lawyers who would otherwise represent their employees. The Lab workers themselves do great, necessary work, but the contractor, who holds a near monopoly on US labs nationwide, needs to go. Also, police in the state consider Idaho Falls the worst place to work, as it is also the most dangerous in the state for police officers.

Our medical here is being shredded because of politicians threatening healthcare providers if they have the audacity to help women. Nothing like less medical options due to physicians leaving the state. I e been all over the country. California and New York have the same amount of freedom as Idaho or Montana. And like any other city, Idaho Falls has its pros and cons. Seeing as Idaho Falls is growing and not shrinking, instead of making the video about why people are fleeing (less than coming), it may have been better to write this in such a way to give the pros and cons. Guns and religion isn’t necessarily what Idaho Falls or Idaho is about. Not even close, though there is more of that here than say, Salt Lake which I moved black from after 23 years. As for leaving, the weather is #1 as you alluded to. But I’d take 0 degrees during the winter over 115 in Arizona in the summer. You can dress for the cold. You can travel to Salt Lake and make a day of it for entertainment. Three hours each way isn’t a burden and the trip is entertaining. I think you may need to reevaluate this list as a lot of it doesn’t really apply, or it does, but just like any other city. And here’s to more people moving in, a more diverse group who will bring new cultures to the area, especially ethnic grocery stores. You mentioned that those who don’t have religion might not have culture. Having moved here from Miami in the 70s, I’d say IF had very little culture, while certain people had their own insular culture based on religion or work. Friends who have moved in from other states are quite cultured. Good luck with the real estate business.

Thanks! I was able to ride in Pocatello, and it is very good. I would add that Idaho Falls is a very good gravel bike town. The bike shop in town has a bikepacking race I have done. The Fitzgerald 300 route is amazing.

Missed one, too many other people moving in from out of state. Inadvertently, they are changing our political climate to the left.

@@LifeinIdahoFallsID Bonneville county just voted in a top down government replacing the bottom up government we use to have in the county. This last election has produced a climate were the republicans are to surrender their platform. This was done through the naivety of new republican voters in the area and the deliberate left leaning attacks against the local republican party. Granted water rights was a shoe horn and a key factor in this situation.
