Hello Everybody!
I had fun with this one! A bit more analytical in response to the comments than the first video but I still enjoyed talking about these funny and mean comments with you! Plus it was nice to talk about a few great commenters as well who always make my day.

If they're commenting, they're watching. As a 46 year old father of five, I really enjoy your channel. You remind me of my son who I don't get to see very often and you're watching DS9 which is my favorite Star Trek series. Your channel is awesome. Ignore the haters. Their jealousy is showing. Keep it up.

For what it's worth, it's really nice to hear a dad talk about his son with obvious love. And it speaks well to the kind of person you are that you are willing to relate that fondness to someone else's son, like you care enough about others to be willing to belong, in some sense, to everyone. I'm also fortunate to have a son. A foster son...but I'm what he has, and I'm happy for him to be mine.

I think he's doing it right. Be laughing at these types of comments takes away their power. Only by giving in to that hate, do we give power to those comments and the people who wrote them. By doing what he's doing, he's not only taking away their power, but he's also shining a light on their own stupidity for making the comment. Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got them, and some people are them. Never give haters power.

The same can be said for the world at large. Unfortunately, people are still out here banning/burning books and telling people they can't be who they are. Your a delight to watch, mate. You bring a light-hearted joy and an almost innocent enthusiasm to your reactions, that is utterly endearing. Don't be down from the banter of the internet; it has always been soured by a loud, spiteful minority that finds the anonymity it offers as a useful way to steal back some of the agency they lack in their own lives. It's tragic, really, but not worth the stress of feeling bad for them, and certainly not with the stress of feeling bad because of them. Keep to what you love, and others will share and cherish that glee.

Why should they read the comments when half of them are scumbags? I moderate one channel and it's just loser after loser being an asshole troll, it makes you wonder why even bother. And I'm not even the channel creator! I read these comments, I don't even want to watch the video I'm moderating! And then there are the constant spoilers, if it's a TV show like Breaking Bad? The absolute worst losers on the planet are Breaking Bad fans. Not all of 'em, of course, but a huge contingent. Just the absolute slimiest, dopiest scumbags who have ever drawn breath. You provide something for free and then you get an ear full of s**t. Reactors like our friend up here are brave and generous putting themselves out there, and these videos up here, for free. And these lumpen ingrates, dumb ignorant townies from Nowheresville, USA....all they want to do is whine like little babies. I don't blame any reactor for not reading the comments from these idiots.

I am glad to see your state of mind in how you react to these comments (whether or not you share your feelings on this). Personally, sometimes I can feel totally crushed by hateful comments. But I think people often make them (instead of just keeping them to themselves) because it gives them a feeling of power, even if a negative one. And these comments tend to reflect how little these people think of themselves if they need to validate themselves by trying to get a response out of the person they are attacking. PS - thank you for all your efforts.

Young people's problems with not knowing legendary cinema and TV shows is NOT their age. It's their birth year. It's about the lack of monoculture. Kids that grew up at some point in the 20th Century experienced a monoculture. That's where everyone has similar shared experiences. I grew up in the 80's and 90's, but was exposed to TV, movies and music from the 30's through the 70's. My options for entertainment were limited. I had less than a dozen channels on my TV. For music, i had the radio. If i wanted to learn something, it was either school, the news or the library. All those outlets made sure i was surrounded by culture and news that was WAY before my time. Kids in the 21st Century grew up on the internet. Their culture is so incredibly vast, that not even kids of the same age, or in the same location grow up with the same thing. People create their own culture around their interest now. That's why so much of past culture is lost to them. They have an infinite number of choices and exposures. So, if you're an oldhead like me, remember that. I grew up a huge fan of The Honeymooners, because i had 6 channels to choose from, and it was on. And that show was from DECADES before i was born. Imagine if you had cable with 500 channels, KZbin, social media, and a magical box that could bring you anything in the world to watch, listen to or read.

I almost never read comments, but I had to watch. How angry could watching along with movies make people? As an older Millennial, it's fun to watch older movies through a modern lens. Some friends and I were watching Ghostbusters the other day. We loved it as kids. As adults, we were all sitting there going, "What the muck is going on with Peter Venkman?!" The man is a harassing sex pest the entire movie. Which, arguably, kind of made the whole thing funnier. He is a terrible person! Keep doing you. Watching someone a bit younger watching older movies and seeing their take is honestly half the fun for me. One of my weird hobbies is watching people watch "Airplane!" to see how many jokes they get and Blazing Saddles just to watch the looks on their faces.

There is somebody out there who has dedicated their own time to focus on me. @@richardb6260 - Naw, woke is basically political correctness on steroids. It's generally directed towards those who virtue signal or step on others to raise themselves. Or using mob rule to bully others into same-think and not accepting that people are allowed to think differently than what the echo-chamber demands. It's a lot of capitalist vs socialist/marxist/communist, equality vs equity and free speech vs censored speech. "Pulp Fiction Comment" Winning Oscars is kind of irrelevant as it has nothing to do with quality and everything to do with being a popular Hollywood insider. Hitchcock never won an oscar. Kubrick never won an oscar. Spielberg started mocking the Academy Awards in his movies because they kept snubbing his timeless classics. I've got a whole five page rant about awesome movies that have stood the test of time that were snubbed at the oscars in favor of movies no one remembers.

I'm a recent subscriber and 68-year-old lifelong movie buff (with a film library of over 1000 films) who just started watching your commentary a few days ago and particularly enjoy your discovery of Hitchcock films--especially your reactions to the plot twists on first-time viewings. Also enjoy your commentary on classics such as Casablanca and Double Indemnity. Your comments are generally thoughtful and entertaining and never abrasive. Ignore the rude comments from "haters" who generally are insecure people who need to convince themselves that they are "superior" by disparaging anyone who dares hold a different opinion. Sadly many of these are my compatriots who identify themselves with terminology such as "woke" as incapable of independent thought and good-natured disagreement. These people are best ignored. Do not feed the trolls. BTW, I enjoyed your commentary on Hitchcock's "Rope," which was loosely based on the infamous murder of Bobby Franks by Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb, two University of Chicago students with genius IQs who wanted to do the perfect crime in 1924 and who were defended by celebrated criminal attorney Clarence Darrow (who also inspired the excellent movie "Inherit the Wind" based on the "Scopes Monkey Trial"). An excellent 1959 film called "Compulsion" was based on a book of the same title by a journalist classmate of Leopold and Loeb's. I highly recommend you view and review the movie "Compulsion", starring Orson Welles, Bradford Dillman, and Dean Stockwell , which follows the case closely and gives greater dimension to the personalities portrayed in "Rope." Wikipedia description of the movie: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compulsion_(1959_film). Nathan Leopold was a submissive who went along with the "perfect crime" to please Richard Loeb, who wished to prove that they were Nietzsche's "Supermen," superior beings who could commit murder with impunity (as expressed by the James Stewart character in Rope). Compulsion is available as a freebie on KZbin: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGXFl5J6ZaiEo9U Keep up the good work. I would be proud to have a grandson like you.

Ollie... you're great. For what it's worth, I teach a Media Performance class at a state university in the Midwestern U.S. You're one of the newer content creators I've added to my examples for my students, who are all your age. Keep up the good work.
