@@icecream5125 nah it’s to do with the algorithm and stuff if you make a 1 or 2 hour video a good portion of viewers don’t watch all of the video (this has been proven btw KZbinrs can see how long ppl watch) So basically the algorithm takes into account the watch time if say 50% of the views only watched for 20 mins and not a hour then the algorithm gonna rank it poorly and his videos won’t show up on random ppls home pages as much So it’s basically better for his channel to make shorter videos but some channels will still do hour long videos for certain things like let’s plays etc and I imagine Ryan would prefer getting this game finished in 1 video than have 5 videos of the same game if ppl don’t like the first one they won’t watch the second one

I think the ending just means that you have been working for Fae the entire time, so that's why the HSH knows of all the mythical creatures. The document at the end said the dev just wanted a fantastical ending, since the game was inspired by a Dungeons and Dragons bestiary and mythical folklore. And Carol's actor dressed up as a fae.

Yeah, basically the company is Fae who want to help humans, but can be somewhat aloof themselves. Notice how they only give advice to either remove or placate the threats, but never kill them, even if the threats could kill the families. One of the biggest hints is the Fae Feast: the info tell the people to eat whatever it is immediately, but every fae story ever told basically saids to NOT eat food given by a fae or else they will take you away.

What a fascinating game, also based on the ending it seems like the HSH was run by a group of fairytale people (most likely Fae based on their appearance in the ending) which would make sense as to why the HSH is so knowledgeable on the more mystical problems. Also props to the voice actor for May, those cries in distress were gut wrenching & sent some serious shivers down my spine & have even made me watery eyed (even after listening to it multiple times) She needs to get a debut in Hollywood immediately.

Ryan Talking about how much he would enjoy and be friendly with a Hob is amazing to me because that's exactly what you are supposed to do about the old myth its based on: Brownies Brownies live in houses and keep them clean. If you are nice and say thank you every now and again they may try harder to impress you. In fact, if you leave them treats like Ryan said he would then they will give you gifts and try to protect from/warn about other less friendly faeries. If you are Rude, Lazy, or try to get rid of them they will transform into an aggressive Boggart which will pull painful sometimes dangerous pranks on you like: Putting sharp nails vertical on the ground so you step on them, tying your long hair into knots with objects inside (may include small animal carcasses), Secretly unscrewing a shelf from the wall while you are right beneath it potentially killing you if its contents are heavy enough.

Like how I mentioned Brownies will physically transform into a larger monster (boggart). Not every version involves a transformation, many versions just go from friendly to cruel.

The Junior Supervisor thing was weird but... The way I interpret this game... Fae Carol, and perhaps her associates, were trying to groom some would be employee to slowly adapt to their magical world by gently engrossing them with knowledge of those fae creatures. Like, each night the worker successfully navigated the callers' otherworldly problems, Fae Carol grew more confident of the worker's mettle and understanding of these bizarre and terrifying esoteric beings. For what purpose? I don't know. Reminds me of Bloodborne, how in which the Hunter starts by hunting beasts and men, but as the hunter experiences more horrors of the night, he learns more about the unseen world and monsters, grows stronger, and eventually confronts superdimensional beings.

It wasn’t a false rosebush. Callers only call back if you sent them the wrong info packet. The correct one was the false artifact as the false artifact can eat small mammals and children. They also make a buzzing noise only noticeable by children and animals. The lady would also check his closet every night where the source of the noise would supposedly be coming from. Chances are Jeremy heard it in his sleep, checked to see if there were bees, and got swallowed up by the false artifact. The noise you’re hearing is the music edited in from Ryan.

This game has a lot of really cool and unique ideas that it juggles surprisingly well. What stood out the most to me is that the horrific analog-style horror of this universe is classic fairytale creatures that we already know. Things like gnomes and nymphs that are usually very whimsical and benevolent, are twisted into these terrifying monsters lurking around the corner. It's just incredible.
