Hi, this is Kasturi from London. I started my home catering business by name Bengaluru Junction here in London one and half years ago. And I'm sorry to say, what you said in this episode that jowar rotti hasn't reached west is WRONG. Because I'm proud to say that I'm serving our North Karnataka Special thaali Jowar rotti here in London. 😊

There's no cuisine which satiates a person to it's full extent,except North Karnataka Vegetarian food..u have everything in it,proteins,veggies,green leaves,millets,curd ,ghee nd of course majjige..... beauty of this food is that we always crave for it,inspite of having it since our birth... perhaps with right kind of promotion on the global scale,it has all the potential to be a choice food for entire humanity 👌

If you replace rotti and jhunka with raagi mudde, mosaranna and rasa then its south karnataka meal, there is no major difference.... Ya south karnataka is more leaned towards non veg varieties bcz majority population is gowda community, eating meat is tradition of gowda community

Love the meal in pics. Each time I think or see about Basaveshwar Khanavali, two people always come to my mind other than Mr. Kripal. They are: Late Mr. Puneeth Rajkumar And Mr. Ravi Ganachari. I think because of their enthusiasm and love towards the food, they are always remembered by me, whenever I am reminded about this eatery. So excited to try this place if I go to Karnataka.

@kripalamanna पुरणपोळी ही साजूक तूप आणि दुध यासोबत खाण्यात मजा येते. पुरणाच्या शिजलेल्या डाळीच्या पाण्याचा अपव्यय होऊ नये यासाठी त्यातून कटाची आमटी केली जाते आणि त्यासोबत पुरणाची पोळी खाल्ली जाते. सध्या श्रावण महिना आहे त्यावेळी हमखास घराघरात पुरणपोळी केली जाते.

Will they really serve this many...??? I visited malleshwaram... To have meal in basveshwara kanavali.... They didn't even serve half of this.... Was waiting for each time... I think only for camera they will do like this hospitality

Super!!! Friend, only mistake You and the Chef made is to fold the plantain leaf "Inwards/towards you" (good occasion) wishing that the food give energy to the self.. On bad occasion such as Thithi, you fold outwards.. Best Regards,

Kripal, you and Sriram was having great time with North Karnataka Oota . The food at Basweshwar Khanali is just like you eating at your own house. North Karnataka meal is much like Maharashtrian cusine especially like the courntry side preparations..Try once koshimbari of fenugreek leaves .Any time I would being to Bangaluru this will be my favarate destination for lunch.

Restaurant have to be blamed for ruining North Indian food. Cream and butter in each and every dish. Fortunately, South Indian food is still untouched and is able to retain it original flavour.

True, Rani, Basaveshwar Khanavali in Hubli too serves the meal in a thaali. However, in Bengaluru they adapted to serving on banana leaves given the city’s fondness for baale yelle Oota.

Good morning dear Kripal 🙏 Was eagerly awaiting the Vlog with the maestro Michelin Star Chef Sriram Aylur 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Time for the delicious items on the plantain leaf 🍃. Wow I have never tried a green tomato chutney. Yet another unique item on the Plantain leaf was the Fenugreek leaves 👌👌 Already drooling looking at all the scrumptious dishes 😋😋 After that wonderful insight and review of the quality of the dishes is more than enough for this eatery to sustain itself for years to come . Yet another must visit place for me 😀 Looks like the moth bean curry / salad was quite tasty 😋. Great review as usual by our dear Kripal 👌👌 “ Taste and savour the character or main ingredient of any dish before getting your palate full with the other complimenting spices” The Spicy Muttige Roti is also unique to me . Wow that’s a Ninja 🥷 move by Kripal to make his own / customised North Karnataka Kathi Roll 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😀😀 Now this roll is palatable for our Chief as he has toned down the spice / heat level 👌😀Fully agree with you that this entire Thali would 100% do very well in the International markets 👍👍 So wonderful that the 3rd generation is now learning to cook these fab dishes and to carry forward the legacy of this eatery 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Both of you are really spell bound after each and every bite 👌 Now I understand better the reason behind the dark red drumstick Sambhar. Great reasoning for the differential thickening of the Sambhars for meals or for the Tiffin Idli 🙏🙏 Whoa that’s a decadent looking Puran Poli which is glistening👌 However as per your review it’s not that heavy . I am extremely happy that we have one more Vlog to go with Michelin Star Chef Sriram . You both share a wonderful Chemistry. Thoroughly enjoyed this informative and wonderful Vlog .
