In South east Asia we have high populations and we do have water scarcity to tackle that we have plastic water tank in every house hold which cost roughly 100$ for 5000 ltrs drum, we gather water from water supply as well from the rainfall. Why can't their government provide every village household that simple solution.

@Daily Wonder not poor one like in the video. People earn their living by selling momo and chaumin what is their to be ashamed of that's their hard earn money if some people look down upon them than that's their problems . Majourity of Indians have the tendency to act superior and act overconfident over every thing cause of that they are currently suffering from covid pandemic. Despite of their world superpower status they are helpless compared to country like Nepal. I get it you are here to show me down instead I am wondering why would you do soo. Are you an African that got offended by my comments or a overconfident arrogant India. I am pretty sure you are not Chinese cause they are much more sensible group of people. So what are you.

Ever heard of Sahel, these people in northern Ghana live in the dry region just below the massive Sahara desert, all those tanks would be dry by now and no rain to fill them up,can't you see what's happened to the rivers and water pans, these people are also mostly pastoralists, you think 5000 litres can sustain livestock and human consumption for two weeks?

you are correct a test to determine whether their leaders are ignorant or malicious is to deliver the information on how to solve this to them'' if they don't use that information then it would not be because of ignorance because you would have already given them the information until desal plants are built fog catchers should be handed out to all villagers they are cheap and produce a lot of water

So where are the mathematician & engineer ? Clearly this man is lacking. The problem with Africa, u need to get rid of these old white colonial and these old African, who only really care about their situation. I can see the problem, it's not rocket science, how to fix. If water is a precious commodity, allow the overflow to be saved in reserve dam and tanks. The waste water can used on plants. Plant, trees and crops which are drought resistant. Start planting trees near the village. Mother nature will take care of the rest. Simply building a dam, without a considering the risk. Is useless.
