In South east Asia we have high populations and we do have water scarcity to tackle that we have plastic water tank in every house hold which cost roughly 100$ for 5000 ltrs drum, we gather water from water supply as well from the rainfall. Why can't their government provide every village household that simple solution.

Ever heard of Sahel,these people in northern Ghana live in the dry region just below the massive Sahara desert,all those tanks would be dry by now and no rain to fill them up,can't you see what's happened to the rivers and water pans, these people are also mostly pastoralists, you think 5000 litres can sustain livestock and human consumption for two weeks?

It really irks me to no end to see these public appeal videos of multi generational households and not one of them have figured out how to dig a well. It's hard to feel sympathy for them.

The problem with Africa, u need to get rid of these old white colonial and these old African, who only really care about their situation. I can see the problem, it's not rocket science, how to fix. If water is a precious commodity, allow the overflow to be saved in reserve dam and tanks. The waste water can used on plants. Plant, trees and crops which are drought resistant. Start planting trees near the village. Mother nature will take care of the rest. Simply building a dam, without a considering the risk. Is useless.
