Now this is the TRUTH. I once asked a dude why the door to the classroom is locked and he just looked at me and slowly walked away. I mean...

i'm a Seattle native, and this standup is a pretty good assessment. I love when anyone makes fun of the pacific northwest. The sleep mode part had me laughing

Hey your material is good man. Be more confident in it. Slow down your cadence a bit. Let them eat, then go into your next bit. You're funny bro.

I’m surprised how Seattle isn’t compared to Boston as much as it is, the people are very similar

Saying "hey man" will trigger them to avoid you. Don't say "man" or "dude". Share some trivia about Microsoft and they will light up like a Christmas tree. Be pedantic. Practice in front of the mirror, slow down your speech, and over enunciate your words. Humor is not going to work unless it is intellectually obtuse. It wont seem like humor to you, but you may be able to fake it. Grow a beard, and act like Earnest Hemmingway. And finally, know that secretly, many wish they could be as cool as you and go into sleep mode only so that you'll never find out that they are not. They say people move to Seattle to avoid everyone else in the country. I have never known a city less welcoming to outsiders.

As a person from seattle can confirm have waited in line for self checkout and also wtf you said hi in an elevator? Why? I don’t know you
@kbushehri Жыл бұрын
Everybody says hi in the elevator in socal🥹its actually weird is you DONT say hi here😭and i love that about here omg i took it for granted i thought everybody did that. And its not just hi too. Its hi+small talk. So, example: “hi, what floor?” “4 please. Thank you.” “Of course!” hows you’re day been?” “nothing crazy, just taking the dog out after a long day, before i head back home to sleep” “oh, long day huh? What breed is the dog” “very long day! Well, moxie here is a german shephard mixed with poodle, we’re not really-“ (**gets held up a few seconds holding the elevator open trying to leave respectfully). “thats my floor man,, have a great night. I’ll catch you later.” “Bye, you as well!!” ^^literally every single elevator ride ever. EVER!!! If its not this; its weird af and ill starting thinking the person in there is gonna hurt me🥴🥴🥴

@@kbushehri In most of countries in the world, people don't say hi to stranger in elevator. It's not seatle that is odd or weird. US besides seattle is weird.
