This video dropped on my birthday. I'm shooting my first wedding in 4 days for $600. I feel like you're staring into my soul while you made this

Can I just say, thank you for all your valuable information! You get right to the point without all the extra fluff. I’m also a founding member, because I enjoy your channel. But I just had to say I appreciate you being so forthcoming with all you’ve learned and experienced as a photographer.

I've been doing photography a while now and I've started taking "works" like 2 years now I didnt do much shoots but deciding on my pricing and that's the hardest thing for me
@CJolieTV4 жыл бұрын
Me too, I just calculated a rate per edits, setup and etc. I'm still learning though Ex: $3 per edited digital image $20 for backdrop setup, etc

I’ve been doing weddings for a little over a year and I know I can charge more for my work. But with COVID I’m not sure if I should raise my prices or not. I’m in Miami which is still considered a hub.

Hey Taylor, what should I do if the market is too saturated with photographers? I’ve sent like 20 quotes this past week and I see that the market wants to find the cheapest photographer out there.

Hey Taylor. What are your thoughts on adding pricing on my website for the services I offer (wedding, family, maternity, portraits). Is it beneficial? Does is scare people or draw people if prices right in the market I’m in?

I enjoy your you tube videos very much. I’m not in the Wedding photography business but in Maternity, Newborn, Sitters and children portraiture but my Maternity photo’s i do very styled and to bring out the love of mom and dad. I use to do weddings a couple of years ago. Will your membership benefit me with a different fields as wedding photography

How do you get around the cheap and not good quality student photographers taking the wedding jobs and then you get a message after the wedding saying wish we had used you.
@UnconventionalReasoning Жыл бұрын
When the couple says they're going with the less expensive photographer, we can ask, "Can we talk about that for a minute? What do you want to get from your wedding photos? Ask some married friends before you answer, because you may have a different answer now than you will in a decade. One of the roles of a wedding photographer is to be a back-up wedding coordinator. If [when] something goes wrong, the wedding photographer is likely to be there, and their most important skill is to resolve issues. How valuable is to know that someone is there to help make sure things go smoothly? Please avoid regrets, and if you are confident in your decision, I wish you only the best." [I'm mainly a freelance tutor, I have this type of conversation from time to time with prospective students.]

Hey Tailor! What would you recommend for a 20 year old photographer with 3 years of experience to charge for a portrait session? I have an apsc Nikon camera and quite good glass (70-200 f4, 50 1.4 etc) Thanks :D , Tim

How do you decline clients you don’t want to work with?
@TaylorJacksonPhoto4 жыл бұрын
For commercial, you can be honest and say it’s not a good fit. Or that you don’t have time in your schedule. Weddings, rarely do I decline anyone, but you can just say you’re booked
@TaylorJacksonPhoto4 жыл бұрын
Or I guess price it to a point you’re happy to do it (if you’re quoting on a job)

Charge double to nightmare clients. Even if it sucks the double or triple you charge will allow you to outsource certain aspects. And you can do it with a smile as you think about the money.

How do you know if they're nightmare-ish?

Read my comment, I had a potential nightmare client, ended up not taking the job. Price went from $1000 he offered to $3000 for attitude 😂
