I love the story of King David passionately dancing before the Lord as the ark of the covenant is returned! I can picture him swirling around with his hands raised in praise and worship! His heart is overwhelmed with joy and gratefulness. He even wrote the psalm that said he would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. David’s heart longed to be in God’s presence, and being despised for his passion did nothing to quench it; in fact it only made him more passionate! Father may we have a heart like David that allows our passion and joy to be fully demonstrated no matter what!
