@imatrOlda7 ай бұрын
@@stanhunt8543 both regions are falling apart because of populists, not because of border control. The immigrants in the EU and in US are two pairs of shoes. In the US they are coming to gain a better living standard. It is up to You how to manage it. In the EU these are asylum seekers running away from war zones created by US stupid foreign policy (beginning with its war on terror = making terror extremist even stronger). People whose countries Your decission makers bomb to dust don´t run to US , because there is an ocean in-between. But how should Americans be able to understand that with their education system. It more nice to feel how great our country is than look at some facts. Easy prey to those populist politicians who feel no shame to exploiting their deficient education.

@@imatrOlda please explain to me where the US bombed South America and Africa. The US intervened into the middle East bc the west is owned by Israeli lobbyists, not because the American people wanted that. Can’t understand that the opportunity to bear arms is associated with freedom - nobody from Europe would agree with that fact. Wouldn’t you feel more freedom, if you spent money for healthcare and if anyone has a health insurance automatically? It’s a standard in Europe, so you don’t need to feel insecure about your health. America (US), the country with so much opportunities means, that you can reach negative life paths more easily aswell (drug addiction, per capita debt is only half that high as is it in the us etc.) I think if you compare your „freedoms“ with freedoms of so many other countries based on facts, you have to realize, that it’s more emotionally, that the US has more or that high quality freedoms
@KineticCode9 ай бұрын
Right to bear arms forces others to respect your person and property regardless if you have a gun or not. Ive lived in 3rd world countries where people can break into your house and police wont do anything about it. What do you do in that situation? Bite the bullet and get kidnapped and robbed? I agree that american healthcare is garbage and needs to change, but to say you dont understand why people want guns implies you've never felt in danger in your home. I sleep with a gun and it gives me peace of mind.
@Basss0ul9 ай бұрын
Even if I try to understand your feeling about that kind of safety, it is really difficult to get that logic behind what you are saying. In so many other countries your interests, your property and you as a person are treated respectfully without forcing others to do so because of a gun (most of the time). And reality is of course that you can be murdered in your house, with or without a gun everywhere in this world. You know - that’s life, what doesn’t mean, that you should not fight for your life in danger. And you are right - never felt in danger at my home, luckily. But isn’t it sad, that you feel that safety only because of a gun underneath your pillow? Wouldn’t it be nicer, if your feeling of security would arise out of an environment und society of trust and real human respect, not anxiety and prejudices/assumptions (e.g. others will threaten me and are dangerous)? The comparison with 3rd world countries are not really helpful I think, because we‘re talking about the US and e.g. countries in Europe where police system should work (mostly without corruption etc.)
@augustmedbrod8 ай бұрын
By this logic you're only really admitting to the US being a third-world country. Nobody needs a gun in Europe to defend themselves, same goes for SE Asia and Oceania.@@KineticCode
