People on default aa can't aim :: Apex Legends

When will the ALC adjustments end? Seeing everybody shoot the exact same position on my body when they kill me is tilting. They never shoot heads, shoulders, knees, or lead their target; it's always stuck in the middle of the chest and it doesn't move from that spot 90% of the time.

Everyone talking about tracer desync/ server interpolation is missing the point. You can see the point of aim consistently gravitates to the middle of the torso. Sure the movement is smoothened out a bit in the replay, but the movement is generally the same. The point is to show how aim assist works at compensating micro movements

nah man - I believe it is the replays - I am a controller player in PC lobbies and watching the replays it allways looks like people just have the most cracked aim ever

@@ExisYT__YT read other comments, I'm not going to explain this to everyone. The replays aren't creating an aa shape. You can see this same stuff happen while spectating a br team; every member can have different aa and this is what default aa looks like.

@@ExisYT__YT I watched your gameplay and all your shots hit the same dot mid chest. You even auto lock at times and don't move from that dot on moving targets.

This is why I despise playing on console. I get absolutely dumped on close range in BR by these guys, but when I stay and speculate them they do not know a thing about crosshair placement or recoil control. They can't even hit a target that's out of the 15 meter range for God's sake. Nerf AA to 0.3 on PC and 0.4 on console. I use PC AA on a PS4 btw

I think they designed it so people who have never played a fps could have success. It's structured similarly to Fortnite's aa but is a dot in a cloud instead of a wire-model. It's annoying to fight against but idc because the people using it don't have a choice really. The strength of the aa is less of the issue than the structure of the aa itself. Players can't aim because of both but it's mainly the dot-in-a-cloud structure, they'd need to change the structure to reduce the strength. It goes to a dot mid chest so players can hit targets sliding & flying.

Nah I've used default aa and this is what I remember. It goes to a spot and then the game tries to override all input and keep it in that spot. You can see it when people are shooting at you without the kill cam. Everyone shoots the exact same spot, no headshots unless someone crouches and puts their head over their chest.

It would make sense for it to be an interpolation data resolution/precision issue. As you got through the game it will take readings of position, rotation, triggered events every x frames, higher = more data, so it doesnt make sense to record frames reflecting the precision of a client input. Certain events will take priority and have higher precision, but also are generally not continuous like view direction and movement input. Like a timeline that plays back. Client side would have higher accuracy, at the cost of the local system processing more and more data, while serverside processing keeps the client the same, and records already inaccurate data (server prediction & compensation reduce the appeared effects, but if you have 2 systems connected to a server side by side and look at input of one through another its much more apparent). So when someone is flicking around, and it records intermittently, it will effectively average out and smooth what is seen in the replay. Its not accurate, it doesnt really mean anything in itself, its just a nice feature to have. Maybe at some point they will increase precision of readings, but it directly scales with the number of players in the lobby.

But they still gravitate to a dot mid chest. You can see it happening without the replay. The aa doesn't allow their shots to go anywhere else without a struggle. I watched people in the Post Malone event and saw a variety of different styles of aa. This is what default aa looks like. I've had my own aim do what the r3 and r9 did in this video when I was on 5 classic years ago.

@@PickedaName_ What exactly are you trying to say? The aim assist assists the aim too much? Or is it just an observation of aim assist in general? Regardless, the replays would still amplify how noticable any 'gravitation' is, any inputs pushing it away would be averaged out. Its pretty universal that the aim assist is a bit much in this game. It 'gravitates' to the chest likely because that will be the centre point of the playercharacter entity, better than the head - it has to point somewhere. Who'se to say the players on the other end arent providing any fine input to maintain the aim? But yeah other than that you have changed some settings for controller input, if it is pointing out more than just aim assist is doing aim assist things, im not entirely sure what the additional points are.

@@freffrey3772 observation + posting update on current setting. A reminder as to why I don't want to free-aim on console. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4SolKagdqall5o ^that's an old alc that is shaped like default aa, I use pc assist though. I stopped using it because I couldn't aim at heads.
