The Movement for Palestine in North America | People's Conference for Palestine

Since the early 20th century, Palestinians have a long, sustained history of political organizing in the North American shattat (diaspora). Throughout that period, Palestinian political organizing in North America was always impacted by transformations that unfolded in Palestine and within the region, as well as by shifts in the racial, political, and cultural landscape of North America. Like other moments in our history, today the movement for Palestinian liberation in North America is undergoing tremendous changes, expansions, developments and challenges. This panel provides an assessment of the growth, development and impact of the movement for Palestinian liberation in North America before and after October 7, through the lens of organized struggle.

Hi. Is Palestine the same as Philistine? There is a lot of history about Philistine but when I Google search it up the first pop up for Philistine according to Oxford dictionary is very offensive. Is it possible to sue? I want to preserve history. We know nothing much of the Egyptian pyramids and so many archeological sites have been lost to time. If everything went to plan they would have established only Israel as a state and elected Mossab Hassan Yoosuf ( if you want to know the real him watch his Jorden Petterson interview) to represent ‘Palastinian people’ not ‘Philistine’ for a little while and that too would fade. And anyone that opposed Israel would have been labelled as terrorists and been eliminated. This is my opinion Only and I believe the only reason that this is not happening is because we are raising our voices. I strongly believe we need to educate people.

You underestimate how short the American attention span is. 1) Half these student protestors don't know what they're protesting = no passion for the cause. 2) These kids have no idea how to handle adversity = The moment things get a bit difficult, they will abandon the cause. 3) National sentiment toward this issue is becoming increasingly negative -- US tends to recoil dramatically when the pendulum swings too far one way. I assure you of this: Nothing you are doing will change the US's policy on this matter. Israel will continue it's campaign of self-defense in one way or another. You're going to piss off the average American citizen, and nationwide support will diminish. And then Trump is going to come in, and none of this will matter. Because for all his faults, one thing about him is that he hasn't dragged us into any international conflicts. Palestine should have never allowed Hamas to take over as the governing body, and they should have thought twice about what decades of rockets will do to diminish Israeli good will, and obviously, Hamas should have never invaded on Oct 7th. There is a reason why neighboring Muslim nations (Egypt, Jordan) are not allowing refugees into their borders. Consider why.
