Loved this! I’m Palestinian-Bulgarian from a mixed Muslim-Christian family. "Where are you from?" is always a difficult question for me to answer. I’ve never felt fully accepted in either the Bulgarian or Arab community and sometimes I've encountered racism and stereotypes about my background. Being mixed has its challenges, but in recent years I've come to appreciate the beauty of it. I realized that being mixed is one of the main reasons why I get along so well with different people, regardless of how different they are to me, where they come from, how they think and which religion they follow. Being mixed is a true blessing that makes a more well-rounded and tolerant human being.

Hey man as a Bulgarian myself I just thought I’d share this. It depends on the area you’re in from what I’ve seen. The older generation can be quite judgmental but a lot of people (I guess 50 and younger) are quite accepting in the middle area (stara zagora). I’ve seen it with my friends when they come over and also with my neighbour there who married a man from Israel. Her grandma was the only one skeptical at first but now they love him and he’s a really good guy. I can see the barriers you face and I just wanna say well done on pushing past it. Good for them. It's nice that they accept each other as they are without the pressure or ultimatum to convert. I personally wouldn't marry out because my religion is super important to me and I want a guy who shares my religion and culture. My parents were different religions; my mum Catholic and my dad Jewish. They loved each other very much but it caused problems especially with my dad's family. It's complicated when kids are involved. I was raised in my mother's faith but never identified with Catholism and felt more connected to my Jewish side. I decided to become officially Jewish in my early 20s and it's the best thing ever. I love being Jewish. From my own experience I wouldn't marry out though as it's important to me to maintain a Jewish life and it's hard to do that with a partner who isn't Jewish. I don't judge people who do marry out though. Love is love and as long as couples have honest and open conversations with one another about their future and how they'll raise their children, it's nobody else's business.

Love the relationship you share ❤ As you said, it was just nice to see that representation. It was particularly hard to come across an interrfaith relationship between a practicing Muslim and another religion. Most stories represented involved one or the other converting, leaving their faiths and being estranged from their family. It's been hard with the fellow I'm seeing because I am agnostic (culturally Christian with some non-practicing Jewish in my background too) and he is Muslim. I don't think it would even be as much of a problem for his family as it is for him. We always present as friends. I think he would be more openly/ freely accepting of our relationship if I were a practicing Christian, but unfortunately I can't change how I go about believing and thinking about things, and I would be pretending if I did, which if God exists, then I think this level of self-deceipt/ living a lie would be a greater sin. I believe that if a God exists, the most important thing would be to live with respect and compassion for ourselves, others and our planet. I don't have an issue with him being Muslim and ecourage pursuit of his faith because it is part of who he is and I respect him for that. I pray and worship in my own way but am not firmly set in the belief of God. Wish the acceptance were reciprocal, but I don't know if that's possible with him toward me, as I am not as firmly grounded in religion.

Nothing wrong with that, ultimately even if you raise a kid with one religion doesn't mean they're going to stick to it in adulthood.

Thats good at least they respect each religion they have

I'm an atheist and my fiancé is a muslim. We're also both gay and from different continents. We manage quite well. It's not so hard when two people genuinely love each other.

You’re not supposed to be unequally yoked. It’s in the Bible.

I love their relationship. I love how he doesn’t try to force her into his religion and she doesn’t try to force him. A mutual respect for their differences. I love it!

Sister please don't. Muslims marry Christian woman but not the other way around. It's a way of increasing their population. Strategy of conquering through the womb

As long as they respect and love each other, I see no problem. Even if I did have have a problem, it wouldn't matter because this is their relationship, not mine.

For them to respect one another’s beliefs and respect one another as marriage partners this is amazing. People with the same culture and religion often struggle to respect one another’s differences. I’m from the US and my husband is from Iran. We both respect one another’s cultures and sometimes some things may seem strange to us we remain open minded in learning new things and learning new ways to do things. I like the dresses she wears in the videos because I’m also very modest in my dress. I don’t wear short dresses, skirts, nor do I wear shorts at all. Hubby dresses nice and modest too.

Nothing unconventional here. It's 2 normal straight people in love with each other. Forget about what anyone says. Love is the most powerful emotion

True facts are his religion is already over spilling, don't be naive. She covers up as a Muslim already and their kids will be automatically be Muslim.. Not hating but this is the truth.. Her religion will never be equal..She will not be allowed to teach her kids about worshiping her way.

That is far more likely than her kids following her religion, I'll give you that. But now in the thrid decade of 21st cemtury, Religion might be fading away bit by bit.

Muslim men can marry Christian under two conditions: the state has to be under Islamic rule and those women have to be chase and modest, not by dating l (zina) is the ruling.
