if I found a blue lobster, I've found a new heirloom, we have no clue how long lobsters live but we know they outlive us by centuries. ergo the head of the family keeps and cares for the lobster, they get to host everyone else and the lobster is the family pet, like the children play with it, it gets to be on the table for food time, and then possibly millennia from now, one of my descendants will discover that alas the blue lobster is dead, and then all my family must be tracked down the descendants of my sister and my cousins my parents and uncles and as up as traceable to meet and discuss the lobster and then..... eat the lobster. they don't stop growing so it might be enough to feed a boy scout troop by then.

It's not always that colour, you have all kinds of colours as long as it's not blotched. The colour isn't that special, it's just a light palomino, the special thing about them is that they're the only horse breed with a 'metallic' coat. That's why they're so shiny.

Oh, and there's nothing unusual about metallic blue spiders, at least not if we're talking the big bird-eating spiders - Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens have metallic blue legs, Cyriopagopus lividus and Pterinopelma sazimai are blue as well, Caribena versicolor are blue when they're young, many of the Avicularia's are mainly blue, and in 2017 yet another blue species was discovered in Guyana, but I don't know if it's been given a scientific name yet, and I've probably forgotten a whole bunch of other blue spiders.

the pink, i think katydid, is a real insect. they’re all pink. i’m so glad so many people on this vid know when an animal is melanistic, leucistic, or albino. the dachshund did not have vitiligo, she was just spotted or piebald! these are all genetic in origin. 🧬 there is a breed of chicken which is completely melanistic down to the eggshell. :) ⚫️
