I witnessed a selfie death as a law enforcement officer in las vegas. This drunk chick decided to stand on the handrails and tried to get a selfie with the las vegas strip in the background. As soon as she tried to stand up, she feel off the railing and landed on the sidewalk about 20 feet down. When I arrived, she was verily alive with bones sticking out of her body and blood gushing everywhere. I was told by paramedics that she died on the way to the hospital for a head trauma and loss of blood. As I was trying to save her another tourist went into shock from witnessing this scene and collapsed directly behind me. It is amazing how many people die every year for these stupid acts.

While in the military, a friend and I went to Sequoia National Park. Did a bit of climbing to reach the top. Found a large rock in which to set my camera( an actual camera with delay setting). Had to step over a crack in the mountain to set up camera. Upon retrieving my camera, I looked down at the crack, saw it was big enough I could easily fit through, and the crack led straight down a cliff about 1000 feet. Obviously, I managed to avoid falling, but thinking back, it was a bad idea.

I think the bear mauling you can see the video of. It wasn’t a huge bear, and it was injured. He walked up to it and it latched onto his hand. It only initially was mauling his arm, but eventually if I remember moved to other parts of his body. All these people had to watch helplessly. The bear was injured which made it very defensively aggressive. The video is one that I regret having seen
