Not rich but I'm a teen from an upper middle class family. My dad makes six figures and we've got a nice life. I work as a cashier at a grocery store. I was half jokingly complaining to my coworker the other day about how I hadn't been able to pack a sandwich for my break that day because we didn't have bread since my mom hadn't gone to the store in a while. She looked me dead in the eye and asked if my mom was saving up for groceries. definitely a reality check moment, I felt kind of bad after I told her that wasn't it.

I thought going on vacation 5-6 times a year was normal until I looked outside of my bubble.

Not rich, but incredibly lucky with housing. My family has lived on this one property for generations and we have bore water and rainwater tanks. One time in maths there was a question like "Someone accidentally left this tap running for this long calculate water pressure blah blah blah *how much money did he lose* ?" I'd always known that other people pay for water but that was the moment it fully hit me that oh, they PAY for water.

A girl i went to school with said she wasn't rich i just looked at her and said you got a house in a gated community you got a personal gardener you fly to Italy for fun you're rich

not rich, but a couple of my uncles are. my family has been invited on cruises and traveling to different places on some occasions, which was nice. but we dont have the money for just a random flight to europe.
