That can make 3 episodes as short as a 1-hour watch.

Especially when you compare it to Naruto's 41% and Bleach's 45%. One piece's issue is the fact the pacing(mainly the anime). To put it into perspective, the typical episode to manga chapter ratio is around 1 episode per 2-3 chapters. While some One Piece arcs are 1 episode per three quarters of a chapter.

Nami got hers in Arlong arc, Sanji got his in Baratie and Whole Cake Island, Robin got hers at Water 7 and Enies Lobby as well as Franky, and Brook got his at Thriller Bark. Plus the story is the overall adventure and Luffy’s journey to find the One Piece and Oda is executing that perfectly
