When I had my first born and came home from the hospital and was by myself in the house alone for the first time. I called my mom and bawled how sorry I was for being such a horrible child and teenager. My son would eventually get real sick and diagnosed with cerebral palsy and my parenting responsibilities were not the same but the appreciation for what my mom did as a parent was instilled

You will continue to change the view on your parents as your children grow. Me now as my oldest is 18 and moved out on her own with her boyfriend. I have conversation weekly with my mother and I’m like.. oh yeah I did that same thing.. and wow! I better my poor mother was just as head shaking, heartbroken in a sense as I am. You will continue to appreciate them more for sure.

I can recall someone saying that as a parent... you are your child's first impression of who GOD is! If this realization doesn't cause one to, drop to their knees in humility; and ask for directions/ instructions from GOD... I don't know what else could. Parenting is difficult but it's also a beautiful privilege! privilege
