I made her and her husband fancy macaroni and cheese at Globe in San Francisco about 21 years ago. I took it to their table to get a good look. She hasn’t aged!

I've read _Slouching Towards Bethlehem_ and _The White Album_ by Joan Didion, two classic essay collections I highly recommend. I've also read _The Threepenny Opera_ by Brecht and Kurt Weill which is a great play to read; the song "Mack the Knife" is from the play. I've read Brecht owed a lot to his collaborators.

I'm reading From Death Camps to Existentialism. But I just found out I could sell it for almost a grand. Fave: Blood Meridian Standout Quote: That which lives without my knowledge lives without my consent. (The Judge, as he smashed ancient artifacts. A very western attitude...)

Blood Meridian. Beautifully written, but I had a pretty severe visceral reaction to it. Maybe that was the point. For me, though, It was ROUGH.

Second celebrity in this segment series to mention Paulo Coelho (at least as far as I can tell, maybe there have been more). No wonder Paulo Coelho is the second richest novelist in the world, after J. K. Rowling. He's 100 million bucks richer than friggin' Stephen King, mind you!

No kid is able to listen and understand a 5 minutes message. Kids don't read any more. We must use Tic Toc 20 secs video to guide them.
@lysanamcmillan79723 жыл бұрын
You don't even talk to kids, do you? My generation was accused of similar attention span issues because of MTV. We still read and read big books regardless. Also, by your logic, reading short stories means you can't read novels anymore. And short stories lose to newspaper articles. None of that is true.
