Intelligence has confirmed that an American force has been sent to help the battered Russians. Despite the presence of the Americans in the vicinity of Irkutsk, we must immediately establish the bridgehead across Lake Baikal, and then seize the city of Irkutsk. Robbie, I apologize for not commenting on the previous videos. It is still not an established habit and Christmas celebrations got in the way. Now... the turn limits are for *brilliant* victories. Finishing with turns to spare shouldn't be the norm. Not a perfect analogy but I'm reminded of Pareto's Law that states that 20% of total effort accomplishes 80% of all result. That's all good and fine but if you pole vault a ditch 80% of result gets you very wet ;) Don't feel bad for using *all* your allotted turns and congratulations on yet another brilliant victory.

No worries Joao, it is time of holidays after all :) I am thinking that I could play on higher difficulty, give more prestige to AI, but now it is too late. It is evident that I am getting better at this game. When I started to play Western Campaign then I was pretty much rusty, and despite reading game's manual, I was not able to perform on top level. In the Chinese campaign a more infantry heavy approach seems reasonable. Infantry has 15 strength and can't be routed so quickly, although you still have to be careful against tanks on open terrain.
