Not really guardiola keeps his squad lean and the current academy players don't have the quality to start in the first team. I do agree he should be experimenting more with the tactics because 1) basically all PL teams can now counter their playstyle and 2) he longterm lacks the vital players to achieve this playstyle (rodri kovacic CBs)
