Ibrahima Konate hasn't put up flawless performances in multiple BIG finals including a UCL Final to be compared to Gabriel who plays with three other CBs and two DMs and not even a highline and has achieved nothing! Awful ball knowledge on this panel as previously seen on the sell, bench, start video!

The same final that you lost? 🤣 Gabriel has been one of the best CBs in the league for the past 3 season, he’s had to do two jobs covering for zinchenko for the past two season which yu pool fans praise Konate for doing with Trent. Gabriel is always a threat from set pieces and he’s much better on the ball than Konate. Konate had Van dijk next to him, until Gabriel had saliba and white he had to play with holding and mari in his first season in the pre and he still looked quality. Plus Konate was getting dropped last season for quansah whilst gabriel was having Monstrous performance away at Man City, Liverpool, Spurs and OT and at the emirates as well. People need to respect gabriel much more. Konate is quality but no need to disrespect gabriel kmt.

And Van Dijk was the best CB in the league last season until April(!) when Liverpool bled out because of injuries and having to play in 4 comps. The latter of which the Arsenal duo hasn't even half done. Man was pretty much holding the line on his own far large parts of Jan to May while competing in 4 comps. Saliba and Gabriel under Kloppball would have been some sight. Konate was clear-cut the best outfield player in the 21/22 UCL Final. Not official MOTM, which I feel Grizz mistook when he read my comment. Watch it back. He was superb. Man was part of the defence that got to a World Cup Final when Arsenal fans were so triggered because Saliba didn't start ahead of him when Konate has never let the NT down to the point he is captain despite far more experienced players around him. His passing was never poor, Tobs. It was average and has improved this season. Your only point that you're right on is his injury issues. Absolutely. 🙌 I actually agree with Cams. I think Konate even edges out Van Dijk this season (so far), but it's hard to argue either way.
