I've done this a few times for Airsoft games with friends , if you cook your smoke mix until it's ready then pour it into your container and add the capsaicin and swirl it into the mix with a stick before it hardens, it works perfectly and you don't gas yourself while making it lol

Add baking soda to slow the burn rate. Wax or oil added will give you more smoke too. Also, if you are trying to disperse something like pepper, use potassium chlorate in place of the nitrate for a cooler burn.
