I feel like a sneak attack would be a better assessment of the capabilities, yes. Still, you don't want to really hurt a friend. Speaking of commercial sprays, one of my friends used to work as a prison counselor. She had the misfortune of an altercation breaking out and the guards were using spray. She got a side spray that took her out, but the prisoners had had it so much that it didn't really make them pause since like these guys, they knew it was coming and had a tolerance.
@AlphaMachina4 жыл бұрын
Yep. In real world situations, commercial variants of pepper spray work just fine (saved this guy from getting stabbed) Some of the major differences being that most people who get pepper sprayed aren't usually EXPECTING to get pepper sprayed, like you said, so they often inhale sharply when sprayed in the face (bad news!), and on top of that, aerosolized pepper spray is MUCH more robust than that of a squirt bottle, so you're hitting the person with a much higher concentration of what's already a much more concentrated pepper spray mix than what you guys used. kzbin.info/www/bejne/omWqnZpsa8x7Y7M

Something you might consider as far as "incapacitation" goes... Once i saw a Police officer get attacked by a drunk civillian and the cop countered with a bunch of pepper spray directly to the guy's face and since he was drunk and super hyped to fight, he wasnt incapacitaded. Everyone around started coughing and crying and the drunk guy wasnt. So adrenaline is a factor to not being affected by pepper spray.

Yeah adrenaline can go a long ways. For example let’s say in combat situation: A person with a gun is up to 15ft (maybe 20) away. He shoots person B, and the adrenaline kicks in immediately. Most people would be able to close that gap. So if Person B has a knife, he can close the gap and stab person A (multiple times) before collapsing and then dying, and with that, leave person A to die as well. But of course everyone reacts differently, but theoretically this can happen. Now if you included drugs or alcohol to the equation, it can really boost the person Bs abilities.

But in the scenario of "will this stop a person from stabbing you" (which they at times seemed to mean, despite it not being the scenario the constructed), I still think that's debatable since they preemptively closed their eyes (which an attacker wouldn't necessarily know to do). If you think about it, if you are wanting to make this , use ALL hot peppers and add more oil so it's worse. Then put it in a container that would make it spray a hard mist or a goop

I think most of these are super effective, mainly because your talking about someone coming to harm you in a situation and you want to disable their ability to hurt you. When someone is trying to hurt you their eyes are open they are more than likely running towards you so they will cop a majority in the eyes and since they can’t open their eyes they are severely disabled. More videos like this please!

The trick with actual pepper spray is that it's aerosolized and they put extra shit in there to make sure it can't be rubbed off easily. Just get actual pepper spray

I feel like a key factor here is surprise and to get it in there eyes, and if it's not in their eye, they won't open their eyes for like, quuuiiite some time. You try to run away with a stolen thing without being able to open your eyes without wanting to die. You weren't "stopped" from taking it, but you sure as shit are function at half efficiency.

When you put your face into the water bucket you get some of the pepper off your face, but it is an oil, so it floats on the top of the water. When you put your face into the bucket the second time you put that floating oil back onto your face. When you dipped the paper towel into the water bucket to wet the towel, you placed it into the pepper oil floating on top and then wiped your face/eyes with that pepper covered paper towel.

I've been sprayed with actual pepper spray in training, and I can say that I was still effective for about 20 seconds before it kicked in. After that I was absolutely incapacitated and reduced to a screaming mess, but it does take time to kick in. Just know that if you choose to carry OC spray as a defense tool. The sooner you use it the better, as it generally has no lasting effects.
