Enjoying everything here. Just one example: your discussion of knitting the sleeves on the Northland Sweater. I was attentive. I knit the ribbing on bigger needles than the stockyknit, so what you do, and most patterns suggest, is the opposite. I will try it your way. Obviously, if I knit the ribbing on needles #3.5, and then go to needles # 4 for the stockyknit, then I have to reduce the number of stitches. That is the tricky part for me. I will experiment with it. Thank you !
@pepperknits28 күн бұрын
So interesting! I do prefer how my ribbing looks on slightly smaller needles but now I’m realising going down too far can make it too tight

Question: at around 19 minutes in your video, you are showing a large amount of red flowers. They look like they were actually knitted, or crafted in some way. It is very impressive, if hand made. Writing from Quebec, Canada. Hi Emily. I am really drawn to your men's Northland Sweater. Thank you for presenting an option, to use our leftover yarn. Unavoidably, we all end up with bags of small balls of yarn, leftovers, that we don't know what to do with. Sweet shop blanket is astute and good looking. We can always use an extra blanket, particularly in a cold country like Canada ! 🥧🥧🥧

Yes, Emily, you did well by making Vlogmas ! The broadcasting platform may not be up to your hard work, though, as I don't think your "view counts" are right. Yesterday, my knitting friends and I met for the whole day, we played your Vlogmas many times. The viewing counts were frozen, not moving, in spite of us playing your videos. In particular, # 3 and 4 appeared to be frozen, not moving. The reason for telling you this : you are watched and appreciated more than the " views counts " suggest. 🌹🌹
@pepperknits6 күн бұрын
That is so kind 🥹 it’s definitely not about the view count, I get so much joy out of creating videos ☺️
@Ann._Eisenhower5 күн бұрын
I noticed the same. You are very high-principled, Emily. I concur that the 'views count' was frozen, a few days ago. It is still counting very sluggishly, compared to how much my friends and I are viewing your videos ( we are leading knitting classes, and using Emily's videos ). At least, Emily, you can be proud of your accomplishment.
@Pomamma._.Ferrari.-d5p5 күн бұрын
Same observation. Don't base your self-esteem on your "views count", on KZbin, as they are lower than reality. I am very sad to say. You are viewed much more than what they show.
