Wow! The house is a fixer-upper and cost $2.6 million! The move cost $400,000. Imagine paying all that money and then spending more to renovate the house. The owner, Tim Brown, is 70 years old. What a crazy project to have as a senior citizen!!

He made a lot of money off the lot he sold is what I read. So he got to keep the house, move, it and still make money. The house and the one it's being moved next to will turn into multi family housing. I saw the interior of the home and it's stunning! Either way, still crazy to see a house just nonchalantly being moved down the street lol.

@@pavithra1134 If you are not from usa it would be baffling I understand. Most houses in USA are made with wood and walls inside the house like cardboards, with some thin wood. There is barely any concrete in houses like this. That is why it's removable. I was also surprise seeing how most houses are made in USA when I moved to US. This is because they could easily remodel a house if they want to. Also there is not need for concrete and iron structures if there is no multiple stories in a house. That's why the houses are removable and of course it still requires tons of planning, engineering to be able to move it.

Thanks for the video...watched from Montpelier, VT...glad to hear you speak of the importance of science and math used to plan this move. The mosy amazing part for me was the turn onto a sloped street which, to my mind, required hydraulic lifts on the downside of the turn, lifts which required constant adjustments.,

It would be good to see the house new site in a empty state and learn about how they intend to connect to the new location facilities. Even a picture of the new foundations would have been good.And a picture of the original site now empty.

Moving day must have been easy for the owners, no having to pack boxes, moving truck and all those other headaches that come with moving! SF is so expensive rather than buying/renting another place, they moved their old place!
