I was shocked by the hospitality of the Muslim people when I was in Ramallah in Palestine. I'm an American Christian and was working for a Christian television ministry. They didn't care who we were, or that we were Americans. They welcomed us with open arms and invited us into their homes, fed us and treated us like honored guests. It strikes me that in the U.S., where we have far more than we need, we act as though we don't have enough, yet in parts of the world where they have little, they act like they have an abundance and are so generous with what little they do have. I'm fortunate to live a couple of hours from Hamtramck, and would like to visit someday.

1 In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. 2 Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds. 3 The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 4 Master of the Day of Judgment. 5 It is You we worship, and upon You we call for help. 6 Guide us to the straight path. 7 The path of those You have blessed, not of those against whom there is anger, nor of those who are misguided. 2 God, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. He is the Sublime, the Magnificent. Originator of the heavens and the earth. He made for you mates from among yourselves, and pairs of animals, by means of which He multiplies you. There is nothing like Him. He is the Hearing, the Seeing. 3 He sent down to you the Book with the Truth, confirming what came before it; and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel. 4 Aforetime, as guidance for mankind; and He sent down the Criterion. Those who have rejected God’s signs will have a severe punishment. God is Mighty, Able to take revenge. 5 Nothing is hidden from God, on earth or in the heaven. 6 It is He who forms you in the wombs as He wills. There is no god except He, the Almighty, the Wise. 1 Say, “He is God, the One. 2 God, the Absolute. 3 He begets not, nor was He begotten. 4 And there is none comparable to Him.” 13 To Him belongs whatever rests in the night and the day. He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 14 Say, “Shall I take for myself a protector other than God, Originator of the heavens and the earth, and He feeds and is not fed?” Say, “I am instructed to be the first of those who submit.” And do not be among the idolaters. 100 Yet they attributed to God partners-the sprites-although He created them. And they invented for Him sons and daughters, without any knowledge. Glory be to Him. He is exalted, beyond what they describe. 101 Originator of the heavens and the earth-how can He have a son when He never had a companion? He created all things, and He has knowledge of all things. 102 Such is God, your Lord. There is no god except He, the Creator of all things; so worship Him. He is responsible for everything. 103 No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision. He is the Subtle, the Expert. 104 “Insights have come to you from your Lord. Whoever sees, it is to the benefit of his soul; and whoever remains blind, it is to its detriment. I am not a guardian over you.” 143 And when Moses came to Our appointment, and his Lord spoke to him, he said, “My Lord, allow me to look and see You.” He said, “You will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it stays in its place, you will see Me.” But when his Lord manifested Himself to the mountain, He turned it into dust, and Moses fell down unconscious. Then, when he recovered, he said, “Glory be to you, I repent to you, and I am the first of the believers.” 144 He said, “O Moses, I have chosen you over all people for My messages and for My Words. So take what I have given you, and be one of the thankful 145 And We inscribed for him in the Tablets all kinds of enlightenments, and decisive explanation of all things. “Hold fast to them, and exhort your people to adopt the best of them. I will show you the fate of the sinners.” 36 To every community We sent a messenger: “Worship God, and avoid idolatry.” Some of them God guided, while others deserved misguidance. So travel through the earth, and see what the fate of the deniers was. 16 And mention in the Scripture Mary, when she withdrew from her people to an eastern location. 17 She screened herself away from them, and We sent to her Our spirit, and He appeared to her as an immaculate human. 18 She said, “I take refuge from you in the Most Merciful, should you be righteous.” 19 He said, “I am only the messenger of your Lord, to give you the gift of a pure son.” 20 She said, “How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, and I was never unchaste?” 21 He said, “Thus said your Lord, `It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign for humanity, and a mercy from Us. It is a matter already decided.'“ 22 So she carried him, and secluded herself with him in a remote place. 23 The labor-pains came upon her, by the trunk of a palm-tree. She said, “I wish I had died before this, and been completely forgotten.” 24 Whereupon he called her from beneath her: “Do not worry; your Lord has placed a stream beneath you. 25 And shake the trunk of the palm-tree towards you, and it will drop ripe dates by you.” 26 “So eat, and drink, and be consoled. And if you see any human, say, ‘I have vowed a fast to the Most Gracious, so I will not speak to any human today.'“ 27 Then she came to her people, carrying him. They said, “O Mary, you have done something terrible. 28 O sister of Aaron, your father was not an evil man, and your mother was not a whore.” 29 So she pointed to him. They said, “How can we speak to an infant in the crib?” 30 He said, “I am the servant of God. He has given me the Scripture, and made me a prophet. 31 And has made me blessed wherever I may be; and has enjoined on me prayer and charity, so long as I live. 32 And kind to my mother, and He did not make me a disobedient rebel. 33 So Peace is upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the Day I get resurrected alive.” 34 That is Jesus son of Mary-the Word of truth about which they doubt. 35 It is not for God to have a child-glory be to Him. To have anything done, He says to it, “Be,” and it becomes. 36 “God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.” 37 But the various factions differed among themselves. So woe to those who disbelieve from the scene of a tremendous Day. 38 Listen to them and watch for them the Day they come to Us. But the wrongdoers today are completely lost. 39 And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded. Yet they are heedless, and they do not believe. 40 It is We who will inherit the earth and everyone on it, and to Us they will be returned. 41 And mention in the Scripture Abraham. He was a man of truth, a prophet. 42 He said to his father, “O my father, why do you worship what can neither hear, nor see, nor benefit you in any way? 43 O my father, there has come to me knowledge that never came to you. So follow me, and I will guide you along a straight way. 44 O my father, do not worship the devil. The devil is disobedient to the Most Gracious. 45 O my father, I fear that a punishment from the Most Gracious will afflict you, and you become an ally of the devil.” 46 He said, “Are you renouncing my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will stone you. So leave me alone for a while.” 47 He said, “Peace be upon you. I will ask my Lord to forgive you; He has been Kind to me. 48 And I will withdraw from you, and from what you pray to instead of God. And I will pray to my Lord, and I hope I will not be disappointed in my prayer to my Lord.” 49 When he withdrew from them, and from what they worship besides God, We granted him Isaac and Jacob. And each We made a prophet. 50 And We gave them freely of Our mercy, and gave them a noble reputation of truth. 51 And mention in the Scripture Moses. He was dedicated. He was a messenger and a prophet. 52 And We called him from the right side of the Mount, and brought him near in communion. 53 And We granted him, out of Our mercy, his brother Aaron, a prophet. 54 And mention in the Scripture Ishmael. He was true to his promise, and was a messenger, a prophet. 55 And he used to enjoin on his people prayer and charity, and he was pleasing to his Lord. 56 And mention in the Scripture Enoch. He was a man of truth, a prophet. 57 And We raised him to a high position. 58 These are some of the prophets God has blessed, from the descendants of Adam, and from those We carried with Noah, and from the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and from those We guided and selected. Whenever the revelations of the Most Gracious are recited to them, they would fall down, prostrating and weeping. 59 But they were succeeded by generations who lost the prayers and followed their appetites. They will meet perdition. 60 Except for those who repent, and believe, and act righteously. These will enter Paradise, and will not be wronged in the least. 61 The Gardens of Eden, promised by the Most Merciful to His servants in the Unseen. His promise will certainly come true. 62 They will hear no nonsense therein, but only peace. And they will have their provision therein, morning and evening. 63 Such is Paradise which We will give as inheritance to those of Our servants who are devout. 64 “We do not descend except by the command of your Lord. His is what is before us, and what is behind us, and what is between them. Your Lord is never forgetful.” 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them. So worship Him, and persevere in His service. Do you know of anyone equal to Him? 111 And say, “Praise be to God, who has not begotten a son, nor has He a partner in sovereignty, nor has He an ally out of weakness, and glorify Him constantly.” 85 Whoever seeks other than Islam as a religion, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers. Read The Quran “I am to you a clear warner.” “That you shall worship none but God. I fear for you the agony of a painful Day.”

It's just a matter of time when they will demand Sharia Law or a Separate Islamic country in America. And if the govt fails to meet their demand ,they will slit the throat of your son/grandson to put pressure on the govt.. But till this D-day they will make themselves appear very normal.. They have followed this pattern in other non Islamic countries as well ,where they have a sizeable population of their community ..

Peter, your channel is so important in times like these. The media does a freaking terrible job of unbiased reporting, and is what is fueling a lot of division.. but your channel really helps open the viewers eyes, mind and heart to realize though we may appear different on the outside, we share one commonality and that is that we are HUMANS just trying to be happy and care for one another. thank you

I was a Marine and fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. I walked away with nothing but the utmost respect for the regular people of those countries. They were kind, generous, honest, steadfast in their faith, and the most welcoming people I have ever met. They were overjoyed and proud to have you as their guest. It was a big deal to them that everything was just so and that you were comfortable and well taken care of. AND... the big secret... their women are gorgeous. I'm talking about a mountain goat herder who has 5 daughters that could all be supermodels. Ahmad was a local contractor who helped our supply people get stuff we needed. Ahmad was trying to marry off his daughters to men in the USA because they would have a better life. I played along (because this was a big deal in their culture) and he introduced me to his daughter Ameena. Ameena is literally the prettiest girl I've ever seen. I am 20 and she is 15. I was no buddy I can not marry your 15 year old daughter and take her to America for about 47 reasons. I often wonder what ended up happening to her. I hope she ended up in a nice situation.

The first time I tried to write this normally, it was auto-wiped by YT, so apologies that I have to write like a moron now in order to speak the truth… What you described is caused by the same BageIBankers that did what they did and continue to do in the M.E.. What happened here in the USA is due to them (des. troy: ing) the (b: order)/(cuI: ture)/(nay-shun) with a mass (in: flux) of non-(why: tes), against the will of the (citi: zens) - which (des: troy. ed) (eth: nick) (co. hesion) - in combination with a whole litany of (de: st. ructive) (comm: unist) (age. ndas) to break up the natural (fa: mil. y) unit, (des: troy) (gen: der) roIes, warp the people’s minds with (in. doc; tri. nay-shun) in (sk: ooI) and by the (me. dia), glorify (d: rug) use and (vio: len. ce) in music/movies, isolate people with cell phones with texting/social media, instead of encouraging natural person interactions, etc. etc etc. Hell, they even got rid of couch co-op in video games, which is what kids used to do to socialize with each other indoors when they stopped playing outside climbing trees and riding bikes together. It isn’t by happenstance that the upcoming (gen: era. t: ions) are what they have become. The (comm: unists) have done a damn thorough job of (wrec: king) _EVERYTHING_ that was once good.

@A.H *Part 1:* I’m going to break this response to you up, because otherwise I fear it isn’t going to get posted successfully with the topics that are being discussed. I think I was pretty good about masking all the possible “trigger words“ that would piss off the YT bot, but I am going to break it up anyways to be safe (since takes so long having to write like this that I don’t want it to be for nothing)... ________________________ There are soooo many things I can say here, but I’ll start with stating the obvious: Our cultures have _NEVER_ blended together - research the reason Jefferson created our US Navy, ffs. *DO YOU KNOW??* I’m sure that whatever you find when you go to learn about it will be very whitewashed. I wonder if they still teach that truth in school these days. Our cultures blend together as well as oil and water does. (to be continued)...
@anti-ethniccleansing4653 жыл бұрын
@A.H *Part 2:* LMAO… This is my third attempt at trying to post this part, and I am having to tweak it and break it up even more. Sigh... we can’t even defend ourselves with our speech anymore. ANYWAYS... __________________ (continued from part 1): There is good reason why _every_ (et: h. nick) (de. mo: grafik), including (y: ours), mostly (l: i-ve) in _(SEP: A. R8)_ (co. mm: uni. ties)... as much as our (goober: mint) overIords will allow... (to be continued)...

@A.H *Part 3:* (Part of this post I had to stripped out after umpteenth failed attempts to post it, because they refused to let me write what I wanted to say in defense of my peeps)... ______________________ Someone would have to be blind to not notice the pattern where (why: tes) will always (p: ack) up and change zip codes whenever a certain threshold of non-(w. hy: tes) (M0: V3) in, no? The (de: sire) to (I: ive) (sep: a. r8-Iy) is perfectly natural, as that is how we (e: volve. d), and how (nay-shun) (b: or. ders) were (for: med) to begin with. If we could (co: exi. st) together happily, then (Yur: up) wouldn’t have so (vio. Ient. Iy) pushed back and pushed out those (ann: cesst. ors) of (y: ours), who had been (sq. uat: ting) there for way too long [from the litany of (in: vay-shuns) of the (Ot: to-man) Empire etc.], in pure rage for having to have put up with (Ii: ving) together for so long. They wanted (Yur: up) to remain Christian. Peoples have a (rig: ht) to their own homes. Good (fen: ces) make good neighbors. We have no business being in the M.E., and y’all should still be (re: main. ing) (th: ere). (to be continued)...
@anti-ethniccleansing4653 жыл бұрын
@A.H *Part 4:* The religious stuff is one of the huge reasons we go together like oil and water, yet you couldn’t help yourself by (spe: wing) that type of stuff here. I live in the West coast in California - not from the Bible Belt, yet my entire close and extended family is very into their Christian faith and churches are everywhere! I grew up with very religious neighbors and friends. _You just don’t like that (why: te) peeps have a different faith._ (to be continued)...

I grew up in the Detroit area and left 30 years ago. It is still "home". When I was a kid, Hamtramck was all Polish. It was the place to go for "golubke" (stuffed cabbage) and "pierogis" (potato dumplings) and "packze" (jelly donuts) Dearborn was (and still is) mostly Muslim. Surprised to hear Hamtramck is Muslim too now. Every time I fly "home", the first thing we do is find a Lebanese restaurant! Detroit has the best middle eastern food in the west!

The Muslims in Dearborn are mostly Northern Middle Eastern Arabs such as Lebanese Arabs, Syrian Arabs, and Iraqi Arabs. And they follow the Shia Islam religion (Shia Muslim). Same religion I follow. And Hamtramck has mostly South Asians such as Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshi people. And these South Asians follow Sunni Islam religion (Sunni Muslim). And some even follow Hindu religion.

This is so cool to watch. I spent some time in Hamtramck last summer so I recognize a lot of where you were. From the limited time had there, I grew to love it. There's a special feeling. It's not like downtown Detroit or the suburbs. It feels safe, which is unique because you wouldn't expect that with so many different cultures colliding. there's just a sense of humanity that I can't say I've experienced anywhere else. The There is beauty in the Muslim way of life. I heard the call to prayer downtown one day and it was beautiful to think that people are publicly called to worship every day. Bonoful was some of the best food I've ever had. Thanks for sharing Hamtramck with the world, Peter. No one shows humanity the way you do.

@Mills Rickman anti white? You saying white and segregating by color of skin means that you don't consider all humans equally. I think USA was diverse (before was established natives were extinguished by first colonists of N.America continent but this is another story) from the beginning. So now you say you would prefer it not to be diverse but more homogeneous? I actually like diverse environments where nobody feels threatened. I liked what I could see in this video. Obviously I don't like when people from different cultures, with different skin color threat somebody or feel threatened. I think you see diversity as a threat. You say "Being too nice has ruined our country". You leave another statement without explanation. Similarly to my earlier question what you mean please elaborate as you know nobody here can read your mind.

When my father came to the U.S. from Ukraine, he landed in Detroit and then Hamtramck. I was born in Detroit then moved to Hamtramck (as a baby) on Carpenter street, one of the streets you were on. My Ukrainian grandfather lived with us and he spoke no English and did not drive in this country - and because he lived in Hamtramck, it wasn't necessary. He was able to walk to the drugstore, bank, market, restaurant, bakery and poultry store (yes, live poultry in the city!) and do business in Ukrainian. Everyone could speak multiple languages and do business in Ukrainian, Polish, Russian, Czechoslovakian, English and more. Hamtramck used to have a bumpersticker that said "Hamtramck: A taste of Europe". It really was. Thank you, Peter, it was awesome to see Hamtramck's evolution through your eyes. It still has soul :)

I grew up in northern Indiana, about 3 1/2 hours away from Detroit, 2 hours from Chicago on the west side. I never really paid too much attention to it growing up, but I noticed a HUGE difference in the diversity, or lack thereof, when I moved to Colorado in 2016. I had friends of all nationalities and religions where I grew up. I had a Muslim teacher in middle school. Where I am now is either white or Mexican. There are other ethnicities here, but they are few and far between. I honestly miss a lot of the culture. The amount of narrow-minded people here is really irritating. There is no acceptance of other people, unless they behave the way the locals accept them. Colorado has some serious transplant hatred. ANY time something slightly negative happens you have people who were born in the state shouting stuff like, "it's all the people moving here", "go back home and it wouldn't be this bad" "it's all the damn transplants not understanding how we live out here" "it's the Californians who are making things worse". It's truly shameful that such a large population of Americans are so disrespectful to people(who are also mostly American) who are pursuing their own happiness, a right to which all Americans are entitled to.

Love the video. Long ones can be a bit boring, but you do a great job with content, dialogue, facts, music, editing and so on. Keep it up. You're just scratching the surface of diversity in SE Michigan. Many SE Asians in Canton and Farmington Hills. Yemenis, Lebanese in Dearborn/Dearborn Heights. Syrians near Troy and in Dearborn. Chinese in Troy and Canton. Little Saigon in Sterling Heights. Other Italian, Polish, Greek, and Armenian neighborhoods. Huge Japanese population in Novi area. Many Jews in the NW suburbs. Chaldeans and more. Sorry for everyone I left out. Not intentional. You should have visited on Fat Tuesday. Hamtramck is famous for their paczkis. I see many messages from friends around the world interested in coming to Hamtramck. That’s great. The area has a lot to offer. I’d also encourage some awareness of those not so familiar with the Detroit suburbs. One thing to note is that redlining followed by the White Flight and the loss of manufacturing jobs and then the Great Recession have been particularly hard on the African American community in the suburbs of Detroit. Many boarded up houses and people struggling. Many good people there, but some of those people turn to crime. Those areas tend to be in pockets just like the other ethnic communities. Very easy to enter such an area by accident. About 20 years ago, our warehouse was robbed by hi-lo driving dudes with masks and machine guns. That was just on the border of Hamtramck. About 15 years ago, I was rubbed at gun point at a gas station about 4 miles from Hamtramck. About 10 years ago, someone turned up dead outside a gas station I had visited the night before....That as about 8 miles from Hamtramck. Also have similar stories from friends/family who work in or visited the area. Fortunately, over the past 20 years or so, many have seen Detroit and suburbs as a good investment. A lot of revitalization happening. Things are improving, both the conditions and the safety. But, the improved areas tend to be right next to the not-so-good areas. So, it's easy to wonder into somewhere where you might not belong. It's not that they are bad people. But, they might be doing their thing and not anticipating your ass to wonder up their street. They might have an unsophisticated or possibly aggressive reaction to show whose street it is. So, dont' be afraid, but do your research and go where you want to see.

Grew up in Hamtramck and you did a great job of representing what the city is about and all the feels to it . It’s a great place and love to see all the people and cultures coming together with empathy for one another ♥️

Whenever I start feeling really discouraged about human beings, I watch Peter's videos and feel hopeful. One thing I've noticed, I live in a rural Southern town where people aren't friendly, welcoming, helpful or polite. Seeing city dwellers who are all of these things and who have a sense of community, makes me feel like I'm missing out on something.

I thought Southerners are famous for their hospitality.
@Cheesus4jesus3 жыл бұрын
@@dietischlampe1327 I've been here 34 years and have never known that to be true in the real sense. Sure, you can experience it to a certain degree if you're connected to a family here in some way, but even that's artificial and not authentic. I'm speaking of Tennessee, not sure how it is in other states in the South.
@lukajolich76693 жыл бұрын
@@dietischlampe1327 It really depends on where you are. Where I live, quite a few people will be nice in the sense that they'll greet you passing by and refuse to honk, but many others instead embrace a more confrontational side where they're willing to greet people in a friendly way, but if you don't meet their standards or traditions, they'll call you out for it. As an example, my girlfriend and I were just walking down a street together and some guy pulled over next to us to tell us we needed to walk with me next to the road since I was a guy (old tradition based on misogyny, which my girlfriend and I don't follow since we both value eachother's lives equally) and he just kept watching us until we did so. It is much worse if you're not Christian and they know it.

I perfectly understand how you feel! I was born and half raised in Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 , it’s a Soviet Muslim country, so I am so used to community and closeness and diversity. Than we moved to Germany where Muslim community is large as well so it felt like home:) community and traditions where still kept. 13 years ago I moved to Texas 😭 and no community, no hospitality really…..yes to a degree….Southerners will never fully accept you if you not born in Texas…..they don’t want to hear nothing about Allah and Islam, only Jesus exist here and if you don’t go to church you are an Antichrist and quickly pushed out of community 😏😔 most unwelcoming 13 years of my life and I constantly feel I am missing out on LIFE! I want to move to this community now so my daughter gets the feel of my growing up, always together, always loyalty and respect to Elders and each other!

I loved hearing the Syrian young man who worked in the store say how the US is great and you have so much freedom and opportunities. People forget that, they like to complain about how bad the US is. But the truth is we have a lot that people around the world could only wish for, including basic human rights.

Desperate people who came from countries completely destroyed by the USA will obviously love the USA because they are from worse conditions. As someone not desperate who's from a country that isn't at war, I would never put a foot in that shithole called The US, I care about my life and my peace.

@make a wish yeah that’s exactly what I’m saying. I’m a child of immigrants and a proud American just like the Syrian guy. You can’t shame us. Keep being jealous. Fix your weak-ass corrupt nation. We all have the same God-given potential.

Thank you for this beautiful video. I am Ukrainian Muslim,learnt about Islam during my university time in Kyiv. Last year I went to Windsor,just across the bridge from Detroit. I wish I knew about this place before,nice mix and hope that all of them find the peaceful co-existence. People are beautiful and we need to keep altogether despite how governments want to separate us and hate each other.
