Perception hook 10.5 kayak modifications and review

Huge 6lbs smallmouth caught at last minute of the video @13.50 , a must see ...!!! this is a nice starter fishing kayak , these are my modifications that I made to my yak , thanks for watchin...!!!

Wow Bow that is one cool kayak. You sure are very creative. We got stuck in a rain storm Sunday while canoeing. An umbrella would had come in handy. Not sure how to connect one on a canoe thou. That was a huge fish. Is your kayak hard to transport with all the gear? Have fun.

Hi Brenda , it does get fairly heavy with all of the gear , if I cant get close I have a home made dolly with wheels that I can transport with , I should have shown it but got forgot , oh yes we have been catching some good fish from that bad boy lol , just got back from laconia but no fishing on that trip , thanks for stoppin by...!!!

with all the cubby holes for all the items, and lures,umbrella,etc,etc. Where do you put the fish caught? a stringer?

catch and release mostly but on the rare occasion they can be put on a stringer or I can bag them with some ice

Chris Sultzer this kayak has a fantastic glide to it , for me much better than others in this price range , the cargo area is good also, for the money it’s a great yak , if your on a budget try finding a used one on Craigslist, good luck 👍

Did yours come with a small bungee w/hooks to make the seat auto fold? Mine broke and had no bungee for the paddle holder. Also, anyone know what the square recesses are for at the back of the seat mold?

Jack of All The bungee cord should not be a big deal to replace as for the squares behind the seat looks like for structural integrity and strength , when the seat is reclined they would have no other purpose as far as I can see.

Jack of All the seat bungee is not made to auto fold you are supposed to un hook the ends when seat is in use the hook them forward for storage and travel, personally I would not use the stock seat , if you buy a folding seat at dicks or bass pro you will save you back lol 😂

Is this a good kayak in sea fishing?

I never used it in the ocean , I dont think it is advertised or classified as an ocean kayak but I can tell you ive been in some very rough windy lake conditions and she held up fine and I got to shore safely but a lake and or pond is no good comparison to the ocean and precautions should be taken with weather and water conditions no matter where you are paddling .
