Nice walk around of the boat, you seem to be very happy with it. How efficient/fast is it on a normal river in your opinion? My first Kayak is a 10 foot Lifetime Cruze which I though was decently quick, then I picked up a 18 year old 14 foot Dagger Charleston and that thing is a MONSTER! I've beat every person I've raced so far with it, but it's to long for a lot of the challenging portage heavy rivers I go on. Looking for something 10 to 12 foot to replace the Lifetime that's closer to the Dagger for speed.

Yeah it is decently a perfect boat for what I like to do. It is pretty fast in the water and it tracks really nice. I think for most boats the longer the better for speed wise. It's really stable though and I can shoot some rapids with it so I like the shorter boat better.

If your worried about Portage that is another reason for this boat. The handles make it extremely easy and it is really light compared to other boats that size. Also I made a diy kayak cart that I could show you how to make if the portage is level.

@@theadventureswithben A cart to help with Portages? I haven't seen that before! Down here in Florida I don't have any rapids really to play with, but I've encountered Limestone a few times with my Lifetime. She has the battle scars to prove it to lol. Thank you for responding, when I was looking through Perception's website I found out the same company owns Perception, Wilderness, and Dagger boats!

I've kayaked in the Everglades before and that was amazing. I bet flordia has a lot of good kayaking. Perception definitely makes a strong durable boat. I might make a video about my kayak cart soon but it is basically just a set of wheels you add to the bottom so you can pull it. I hope you enjoy whatever boat you end up getting!

Do you know what that hooked bungee cord is for , behind the lumbar support? It sticks out on both sides of the back of the backrest. Just bought this kayak after watching your review

@@tzolkosky my mom still rides a perception swifty 9.5 and it is pretty good boat as well. I have heard good things about the pelican series as well for cheap recreational kayaks

How does it work on the River, how does it do in minor rapids?

It works great on rivers up to class 2 rapids. I have taken it on some class 3 rapids but don't recommend that. But any river with just minor rapids here or there should be fine.
