What a lovely video. Full of nature but also showing exactly the techniques you have used with the sketches etc I especially enjoyed how you combined underwater canal footage which isn't something you see often. As I have taken up canal match fishing once again I found this particularly informative for thinking about how my perch/worm rigs are working and what the fish are actually doing down there. Thankyou

I must admit, Jonny, underwater filming has been such an eye-opener. It's nothing like we imagined it would be, in terms of fish behaviour. Thanks for watching.

I really miss the artificial-lite journal that you wrote for many years Eric. I was an occasional, pretty uninspired if truth be told, canal angler back in the day. However reading the artificial-lite journal ignited a real passion in me for ultralight canal lure fishing. A passion that remains within me even though I am 60 next year. We don't have zander in the North West canals where I fish, however the methods I learned from artificial-lite allow me to target other species beyond the usual perch and pike, such as roach, bream and rudd, which I've all caught on lures thanks to the methods I learned after reading the artificial-lite journal. I hope I find you well Eric, many thanks

Well done chaps, another great watch. The filming and narration is exceptional as always and once again you guys have perfectly captured the true spirit of fishing. A quick question if I may;, what’s your reasoning for using the foam type pellet wagglers rather than more sensitive floats - presumable to enable big worm baits to be presented off bottom/suspended? Anyway, please keep them coming fellas,, by far the best angling films on KZbin..👏
@artificialflight19423 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind words again JJ. Yes you got it, it's the equivalent of the old perch bob. We don't want the float to instantly disappear. The perch won't let go but you can judge when to strike much better and, yes, it's a big bait, so there's little point using a fine float as it wouldn't have the necessary buoyancy.

Hello George. I can’t find another way to contact you, but hope you might see this comment and, if still involved with KZbin, honour me with a reply… I’ve loved watching your content from a few years ago and I’m simply wondering why it began and finished so swiftly? As a busy father, husband, bread winner, one-time author and relatively new content creator, I understand the barriers to ongoing creativity all too well, but I hope you’re in good health and may revisit your channel at some point in the future. Tight lines and all the best, John
@artificialflight194210 ай бұрын
Thanks for getting in touch, John. The reason simply is that, initially covid, and then personal circumstances got the better of Eric and I. We do however have a new film under prep, again taking longer than it should, largely due to my technical incompetence, but hopefully you'll find that one to your liking in due course. All the best with your own venture too! George.
