Perch Fishing Through First Ice on Lake Simcoe | 2025

Join us as we hit the ice on Lake Simcoe for a fun perch fishing adventure during the season's first ice! Watch as we drill our holes and battle the rain, wind and chilly temperatures to land some nice perch.
We used a slab grabber and teardrop tungsten jigs from Trifecta Tackle tipped with minnows. We are excited to see what Lake Simcoe has in store this winter!

Nice fish we limited out yesterday and bout to today . 10 inches is just avage I have the state record perch for Michigan 12 inches around white perch

Yes! This video was shot in Beaverton, you'll see the commercial huts from shore at the Beaverton launch; you can walk out to the perch grounds from that location, and they have minnows for sale right at the launch. Happy fishing!
