so i newly started listening to slavic folk music and I have to say I have never heard anything like it .... it resonates with tradition and power ... coming from an arab culture most of our music is calm and moody which is what I usually listen to .... but this is powerfull and loud but in a good way ...

Middle eastern? It's definitely slavic.

I guess some times the lines get blurred. If you ignore the vocals you might not feel that this song is Slavic at all . On Zozulja(without vocals) it's the same... it has kind of international vibe! But some tracks are Slavic even without vocals(Lazare i.e)
@AlexIncarnate9116 жыл бұрын
hh rr It has a distinct Middle Eastern, Arabic to be specific, rhythm. We know that Slavs (and other Eastern Europeans) interacted with Arabs more than other Europeans. But regardless of the reason, the rhythm has the Arab dom tek dom dom tek rhythm that's very popular in many Arab countries. The vocals are definitely Slavic though
@hhrr65826 жыл бұрын
AlexIncarnate911 you are correct it has an arabic vibe. It's funny because traditional music usually originates from instruments and of course; language. It's cool how the same music can be appreciated far and wide with minimal change. First time I heard it I thought i clicked on the wrong video because this reminded me of an Iranian musician that i knew who played masterfully with a "Se tar"
@MrKoffeeKup6 жыл бұрын
The Hurrian hymn basically sounds like a slow power metal ballad straight from Iron Maiden. Music is generally the same notes and different sounds arranged in familiar structure. Its the oldest known melody and you can understand the root. It originated in Syria about 1400 BCE.
