Percussive guitar -India

Күн бұрынWhen the world was young I was very curious about percussive guitar styles and extended techniques, there was no internet back then and we were all searching in the dark for new sounds and approaches. I don't play this way much any more- I felt in danger of the 'music' getting lost in the noise. Anyway I pulled this out of my back pocket yesterday and thought you might want to hear it.

@@hankkiechlin4044 Thank you Hank. Indeed Michael Hedges was the starting off point I had a flexi disc of one of his tracks from a guitar magazine and absolutely no idea how it was done, I started fiddling around with percussive idea when I was traveling and had no on to jam with.

Hey Sheldon I know I have asked you this before but cant find my notes. What is the condenser mic you are using for the guitar. It looks like a gypsy Jazz guitar but really doesnt sound like it and the mic your using really captures the sound of the guitar well. Thanks

@@hankkiechlin4044 hey Hank it’s a Audio technica 4050. the guitar is a Bearsell 7 string custom- correct it is nothing like a gypsy guitar!
