I enjoyed season 1 despite the issues I have with it. I wasn’t the hugest fan of Percy revealing the prophecy to Grover and Annabeth early on, I also didn’t like that they knew everything about each encounter like the Lotus Hotel, the Thrill Ride of Love, and Ares, and especially Luke (since the twist was supposed to be a shock and it established Luke as a capable and intelligent villain), them missing the deadline was questionable, Gabe should have been worse (I can forgive the first episode, but the end of the story was where Percy was supposed to find out how bad he was). And yes I agree with what you said about Hermes, him Hades, and Poseidon were a bit too nice. I did like the changes made in episodes 4, 7, and 8. Mostly they felt necessary. Grover I kinda missed him overcoming his fear of failure. But I did like his dynamic with the others. And I loved the scene with Luke’s betrayal. But the crew did a lot bringing the world and characters to life. And I get why they explained Luke’s motivation now, the part of the world with the petty revenge and glory seeking of the gods. And I like the additions made to the monsters. I really hope they tackle Annabeth’s dad right to make up for the toned down abuse of Gabe. This is something I hope is changed from the book since Percy was too dismissive in the books. But something I’ve learned watching some other tv series adaptations of books is that season 2 can be better. Lastly, RIP Lance Reddick.

Agreed, I like it, the biggest issues were with the mortal and godly parents. But they made some good changes and hopefully it'll be ever better in season 2. RIP Lance Reddick

Very much so. Worse yet, they're not even getting paid. They're paid in "glory" and recognition from the gods (aka their parents), which if you think about it is super emotionally manipulative. So it's like child labor combined with emotional abuse (which I'm sure happens with real child labor too).

I loved season 1 and I cannot wait till season 2. I've listened to the first season a couple times now and I'm going through it again with the audio description on to get an extra experience of some visual aspects, because of my blindness . Though I have to say this show has the best audio description I've ever witnessed. Maybe it's just developed over the years but I remember growing up audio descriptions were not helpful. I'm really curious about season 2 because I feel that is really where the visuals are going to start to peak or fall . But I have hope that with each season we get it's going to grow into a show to remember more and more.

I agree that season 2 is definitely going to be unique in terms of visual effects, and I can't wait to witness the memorable moments from the book (especially the guinea pig scene lmao) in tv form XD

@@TheDemigodLover omg I forgot all about the guinea pig scene LOL. I think that's like my favorite out of the book . Part of me wants it to be given more screen time. But another part of me also predicts that it's realistically going to go by pretty quick . Honestly, as the books continue, it kind of feels like looking back at the different scenes they become more fast-paced if you take out the monologues in Percy's head parts. At the very least, I do think that season 2 will certainly be creatively appealing and we're definitely going to get some funny quotes from it.

They better make a Heroes of Olympus one, a Magnus Chase and Kane Chronicles side story would be good but that is not rly a nessecity, Heroes is arguably the best of the bunch as a series, and trust me, when you said the movies were abysmal i agreed 10000000%, movies are the stuff of riordan fan nightmares
