This year is the first independence flag ceremony on August 17th in the new capital in the island of Kalimantan, we call it "Ibu Kota Nusantara(IKN). What you watched last year was the ceremony at the Istana Merdeka (Jakarta Independence Palace). The capital of Indonesia moved to the island of Kalimantan from this year 2024.

FYI = the ceremonial is on hybrid in Jakarta and Nusantara, used different squad of TNI National army's, POLRI National police's at different palace but with one voice command of ceremony inspector in Nusantara. Used live telecast and videotron. The voice command is shouldn't delayed for late responding. And the results is combine as one show just as on the same spot.

Different procedures when handing over the flag because it was held at a different Palace, this year the ceremony was held for the first time at the IKN Nusantara (Istana Negara/State Palace), while in previous years it was held in Jakarta (Istana Merdekaa/Merdeka "Freedom" Palace).

Laksanakan means "do it". So the comander ask for permission to rise the flag. Its different from last because its held at different place. Before was at Merdeka Palace Jakarta. Now is at Garuda Palace East Kalimantan (new capital city,IKN). Yes they must be proud. Specially for them on center group ( Who has the job to bring and rise the flag). Their name,their parents name,their school will be announce on all broadcasting live.

FYI, The Flag Raising Troops or abbreviated as PASKIBRAKA consist of 70 people, consisting of 17 people as guide troops symbolizing the 17th of Independence Day, followed by 8 core troops which include 2 women carrying the folded heirloom flag and a duplicate of the heirloom flag that will be raised, symbolizing the number 8, namely August, the month of independence, and escorted by troops totaling 45 people armed with firearms symbolizing the year of Indonesian independence, so the formation order is 17 8 45 = day month year.
