I just got a tub of the Future Fiction CK6 soap and an Atomic Rocket brush. All I can say is I believe my search for a good soap is over. You weren't lying about the lather. The lather I got from this soap was absolutely incredible. I originally ordered the original formula but after watching this video I contacted Phoenix Shaving and they were able to change the order. I am incredibly happy with that decision. Thank you for the great video.

Good shave Mark!! I knew you'd love their products!!! CK-6 in my eyes is one of the top 3 soap bases out there in the shave world. The lather it builds, the sheen it has, and the protection bit offers are spectacular. Plus the post shave feel is wonderful. I just used Gondolier a few days ago for the head and face shave, and it was a spectacular shave experience. PAA has so many fantastic products, you'll never run out of things to choose from. Have a great day!!!

Hey Mark. I just got my Perigrino brush and a tub of their Atomic Age Bay Rum soap, CK1 formula. Thank you for the recommendation on the brush and soaps. The brush is a lathering beast and feels great on the face. The bay rum scent has a soothing, heady scent to it. I love it. And given the PAA sci-fi themed products, I used my '57 Flair Tip razor while listening to some retro sci-fi sound tracks. Great time in the shave den. Have a great weekend.

I’ll have to try face-lathering with this model, I normally make my all lather in a bowl, but I should be proficient with both. Thanks for this video Mark, I’ll practice with it and my own Peregrino till I get it down pat!

I had the same thoughts about future fiction CK 6 formula. The slickness is beyond great. The lather is so thick and protective that I never cut myself while using it. Also the scent is like a nutty, woody apple pie. Absolutely delicious and complex. I have a few after shave samples, their travel scuttle, solar flare brush, and some other soaps coming for my birthday next Sunday so I'm very excited. PAA really has a nice product selection.

CK-6 is sooo buttery smooth good! Lolll. Future Fiction is a good scent too! The nickle plated DOC was my 1st razor i bought from PAA. Really mild razor that work's good with a sharp blade. Even with a feather it's smooth. Oh! I got my Rainbow blades in the mail yesterday. Gonna give them a try in a few day's. 😁👍🏼💈

My final brush choice was Peregrino! And with it, I purchased Droid Black bundle, samples of Future Fiction & Cavendish. All were gorgeous scent soaps! Because of new knot, I decided Peregrino and it was excellent. Enough long handle & soft & rich knot, though a bit chubby handle. Future Fiction seems to me similar to Stirling Sandpiper & YSL La Nuit d'Homme fragrance scent vibe. What do you think the meaning of the Future Fiction soap label cartoon artwork? I'm curious.
@MarkSzorady2 жыл бұрын
Honn, Future Fiction was the very first PAA shave soap I tried. From that moment on, I was hooked. The artwork is fantastic, and I definitely connected to it. It certainly has the same look and feel of the Bucks Rogers and Flash Gordon comics from the 1930 and 1940s. Those cartoon characters and comics really influenced my childhood. Although they were introduced long before Iwas born, they've come back time and again for new generations in comics, movies, books, video games, etc. In particular, I love thestyle of the Future fiction label because it harkens back to the origin days of these iconic sci-fi characters. The artwork also has the same look as the classic Superman animated movies from the 1940s produced by the Fleischer brothers' animation studio. Here's one of those animated shorts: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3rIcoSvjN90mKs Playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLhGipfv0juZWw5lM_NyhY1n32UXVSn37Q

@@MarkSzorady Thank you so much Mark for your kind explanation! Though I'm Korean wet-shave youtuber, I wanted to understand & introduce the authentic culture background like this to Korean wet-shave community. In my childhood, every weekend joy was watching Hollywood cinemas & comics like Popeye the Sailor, Superman, Batman, Tom & Jerry, Woodpecker etc. Understanding American culture background like Star Wars is interesting & very informative. Nowadays a big miracle to me is happening like Korean culture shares with American & worldwide people like Squid Game, Parasite, Minari, BTS etc. Thanks to you, I'm gonna be into Superman comics. Nice vid. I do shave head and face at once, and need enough lather for 3 pases in each area (i do NOT reload soap ever). BTW those double comb razors are good for pasty lathers as they hold water and will hydrate/dilute such lathers and optimize glide. Cheers
@lolcanoe24724 жыл бұрын

@MarkSzorady4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Massimo. the razor isn't overly aggressive. However, the double comb has a function to gather a bit of lather so you can go over an area again without having to re-lather with a brush.
