PEREIRA COLOMBIA El Centro Daytime Walk Full Tour 🇨🇴【4K】PLAZA de BOLÍVAR, PARQUE EL LAGO 2021

For today's video we will be taking a daytime walk in El Centro Pereira on a day without Toque de Queda. There is a lot more action in this video than in the previous one and it captures a more natural and authentic vibe. 🌴

To begin the tour we start at "Bee Hotel" in El Centro and head towards "La Plaza de Bolívar". On the way we take a quick stop at "Parque El Lago" which is a popular plaza/park with a small lake in the middle. Some interesting finds along the way were a man playing a harp on the street (15:43 - I had to mute this section unfortunately for copyright) and another man doing magic tricks (17:33). The tour ends at an unmarked park on Calle 14 and Carrera 8 where we decided to head back. 🚶‍♂️

Brief History of Pereira: 👨‍🏫
Pereira is the capital of Risaralda department and is located in the coffee zone of Colombia. The history of the town dates back to the pre-Colombian era and the area that now comprises the city was once inhabited by tribes of Quimbaya and Pijao. Over time settlers from Antioquia occupied the area and settled in the city, which was due to the growth of the ambitious village. Pereira was especially favored by its economically strategic location, fertile soil and good weather. The settlers grew large quantities of high quality coffee in the mineral rich volcanic soil of the Andes and Pereira still continues to thrive as a leading coffee producer in the industry. ☕

The unmarked park you mentioned had a heavy energy is called Parque de la Libertad, and you were right, that part of the city it is well known for being a little bit dangerous and a lot of prost!tut!©n
