I did some centaurea root cuttings on the day of this video and I have some green shoots already 😊

All the centaurea "purple heart" were sold out in nurseries here in the States, but I found a listing for a single plant on ebay and it arrived with so many babies ready to be separated. I got all 12 to root in 1 gallons and am so excited to see that unique flower bloom next year. Thanks for introducing me to that wonderful plant.

Do all the have to be kept on a heated surface? The only place I have to keep cuttings is an unheated plastic-covered cold frame or an unheated summerhouse.
@Loukevsky3 ай бұрын
No worries. For this early stage where u want to promote root growth, you just want to keep the roots from freezing or their modest foliage from burning up along with having some ventilation so their scarce roots and shoots wont get sick and kill the entire plant. Your cold frame should generally be better to keep moisture in.

No As explained by the previous author, most of these can be put into a cold frame, unheated greenhouse or on a windowsill.

I found a lovely weeping deodor cedar on clearance, but noticed one small branch was broken off. I put it in water. Can I propagate it?

Wow making me think....is there a reason to buy 5, 7,9 or a dozen of any plant when I can buy 1 and propagate the hell out of it 😂🤑😀❤

It will take time to grow, I guess😂

It’s true. I’m a beginner gardener & signed up for Rosy’s propagation course. I look at everything differently now. No plant is safe! 😂😂😂 Seriously, I hit the sale tables at the garden stores this autumn and bought ragged plants growing out of their pots for a song. Then I divided them and also took a zillion cuttings. They don’t all thrive, but many do. It’s a great way to fill up a garden if one is patient. 😊
