Expanding on what Perez said about older people / younger people. I've noticed this generation sort of infantizes themselves. Always referring to themselves as "just a kid" when they're like 22 or 23. When I was that age I felt like an adult--like I was on the same playing field as someone who was 45. When I was 18 I couldn't wait to get a fake ID. I would never ever try to make myself seem younger. It just wasn't in my thought process...and I think most people I knew had the same perspective.

Am 21 and completely agree - a few times during covid lockdowns being with my family I would complain to my parents along those lines - “I’m just a kid, you can’t expect that of me etc” - and was really confronted when my mom was like actually, no, you aren’t a child, and you really can’t behave like you are, you’re as far from being a child as a pre teen is from being an adult. Confronting and hard to accept that you’re behaving like a brat, accepted it and trying to grow the hell up and learn from it, but you’re 100% right - most of my friends would use the same excuse without a second thought.

@@Elmatador-c16 he never said “I’m not speaking for her.” Perez called him out when Josh tried to say why the tik tik community and Charli “hate him.” When Charli has never spoke on the situation “directly” apparently since Josh said “subtweets” were about Perez which is just an assumption on his part. So Perez said “oh, did you and Charli have a private conversation about it?” And Josh said “no.. we don’t talk... at all actually.” And he shut up about it because he knew he looked stupid claiming Charli feels a certain way about the situation/Perez when in fact he has no idea at all. So yes, it is from Josh’s point of view only which is basically just how he personally feels about Perez and no one else since he can’t speak for the entire Tik tok community.

I love Josh so much and gained so much respect for him during this podcast. How he defends his friend is so amazing, and I’m 28 so I’m definitely “old” and I thought Dave was cool but just how much power he thinks he holds and how much he brings up the drama with Bryce and just trying to start shit with Josh and just so uncomfortable and not cool. They’re supposed to be on the same team and he knows that Josh hates it and puts him in a shitty spot. But I’m so happy Josh isn’t holding back now.
