The Revlon Colorstay for combo/oily skin is my favorite. It is nice and long wearing for our hot and humid Houston TX summers, and then in the dryer months, it goes on like a dream with a couple dots of moisturizer. They are also replacing the cap with a pump! I bought a new bottle a few weeks ago and it has a pump. I was so glad to see that!

I agree with you. Although I think foundations have gone quite far. I am an olive skin tone and it was so difficult to find warm/yellow undertones in the drugstore. It was always too pink. I hope they would have more pale foundations because many foundations labeled "light" are not really all that light. Darker skinned people have also very limited options because companies forget that there is a cool toned dark, warm, red and neutral dark. Lol whoops sorry for the rant lol
@TheSwauzz9 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Vanessa Beauty products have become more and more popular as social media and KZbin have increased, so that definitely means makeup in general has come a long way. I'm happy there are more options for others nowadays, but there is still room for improvement, like you said.

@bripez9 жыл бұрын
Im extremely confused. The rimmel wake me up is the shiniest foundation i have ever come across so to hear it being describe as matte blows my mind. Also, i wouldnt say rimmel match perfection is full coverage at all! Buildable to medium but definitely not full. The rimmel lasting finish has way more coverage than the match perfection so i wouldnt say they are at all similar. But then what do i know...

@MichelleMacAuley9 жыл бұрын
+Hayley Longster I agree. There also aren't many options for people who are very pale. I think NYX has a new product called Pro Foundation Mixer in a few shades from white all the way up to a very deep brown. Other companies have similar products, but this is the first I've heard about from the drugstore.
@hayleylongster46989 жыл бұрын
The struggle is real for both pale and dark.... but I think the struggle is a bit *more* real for the dark skinned tbh 😉 I sometimes find it hard enough to find something affordable in the drugstore that suits me and I have very common (in my country - UK ) middle of the road light - medium skin. I dread to think what it's like for my friends who are dark skinned. -- you spend a fortune trying things when you can't return them. US ladies- you're very lucky!!
@kilipaki87oritahiti9 жыл бұрын
+Shelby Best Why funny? Sure there are plenty of light foundations but they often run too warm or too cool toned for a lot of people. For us who have more pigment in our skin it is either too pink/orange or too little yellow. And if they have the range, it is the wrong undertone. Yeah those in the "middle" have it easier than the rest of us lol. I know the body shop offers drops so you can just mix into your moisturizer or foundation which is great. Tho I haven't tried it myself.

+heveewoohoo Ooohhh, you make me wish I have heard of this dainty doll foundation! Have you heard of Yaby? I think that's the spelling. Anyway, they do a white foundation. :) I haven't tried it, but I have seen it!

@devilswithsugar9 жыл бұрын
companies do white foundations, you're never too pale haha. unless you're talking about drugstore.
@kerriburden47939 жыл бұрын
+Leah F I feel that! I have to mix Macs white face and body in with everything, even concealer but it changes the consistency :( x
@shelbybest18009 жыл бұрын
+devilswithsugar NYX just came out with a white mixer and I'm sure it'll come to drugstores soon so there will be an option for super pale people in drugstores!

+Leah F The Body Shop do white pigmented drops you can buy a bottle and mix a few drops in with your foundation or concealer etc to get the right shade. Also the do a darker one to darken foundations as well

Revlon has a foundation that is in shade that might as well be white ☺

+akvilyte002 That's a false statement. As a makeup artist, you should be able to cater and recommend for ALL skintones. But as Nic said at the start, the drugstores in the UK don't cater to us at all, at least she recognised that rather than ignoring. It is shitty though for anyone who is watching this and is darker than olive skinned. As a huge makeup artist with a big influence, if they spoke up more I think a change is more likely to happen. Not just talking about pixiwoo, but all of the famous makeup artists in general.
@sweetiedevil1239 жыл бұрын
I didn't mean I was annoyed with Nic. I love her! I love Pixiwoo. I meant it annoys me that it's so difficult to find foundations for dark skin in drugstores.

That was great! It's so easy to get blinded by all the foundation/BB/CC options on the High Street. I completely agree with the Bourjois CC love - once I found it I've never looked back.

Favourite Bb cream/foundation of all time is the seventeen BB cream that they do, OMG I'm in loveee. I believe 17 is a boots only brand in the uk and the product is like £7 but it is seriously the best, high coverage, flawless,don't stick to dry skin, great pail colour,easy to apply... I love itttt! It also claims to improve your skins quality within 4 weeks and I have to agree so much! I have bad acne and I find that since I've used this that I've only been finding few small spots and not the large red ones I'm used to. Totally recommend for yall who are dry skinned but want a high cover and are on the Pale side xx

Also, for anyone reading who has an oily skin - Revlon Colourstay for combo/oily is my absolute fave. And if you're pale then I find the colours to be really good. Their concealer from the same range is great too.
