In my healthy twenties, my ex and I moved houses, while both working full-time. It was pack boxes, load the pickup, move, move, move. Evenings and weekends for about 10 days straight. I lost about 5 lbs. and I was skinny to start with. Skinny. I ended up with a bladder infection. Just calm down, miss bride. You'll be perfect, just as you are, and so will your wedding.

While I do understand the concept of "you are perfect the way you are", objectively, 6 weeks is too late to make a new wedding dress from scratch. It would cost you the normal price of the dress + a huge urgent order fee, so you would end up spending more than the double of what you wanted to initially spend on the dress. If it had been the other way around, being the dress too big, it would have been way less costly (as my sewer aunt taught me, you can cut fabric, but you can't create new one out of thin air). And I understand the bride doesn't want to settle for an already-ready dress the atelier may have there for future brides to try on, because it may have tearing and imperfections for all the times it has been tried on and it may not be the dress she loves. So in this case, I would have gone dieting me too. And personally, I wouldn't blame the shop either to let her buy a too small dress. I work in a shop myself and I can tell customers can be stubborn more often than not, so I let them know my opinion and what I would do if I were them, after that, it's their decision.

To be fair. The dress size is the customers decision. They are the ones stupidly ordering it small. Thinking that they will be inspired to loose weight.
