Funny considering the power scaling is on point; Omni-Man needed help from others just to blow up a planet by drilling to it's core, Cell can blow up planets with a single beam from his finger, and the Kamehameha he used towards the end of his arc was stated to be capable of destroying the entire solar system if not stopped (hence why it was dubbed as "Solar Kamehameha")...

Saiyan Saga Vegeta said his Galick Gun could blow up Earth, and considering how unimpressive he is compared to someone on Cell's level (relatively speaking) really goes to show how crazy Dragon Ball gets. An argument I've heard used is "Well if Saiyans can't use Ki then Viltrumites destroy!" which, for starters, is implying a Saiyan can't perform the same physical feats without Ki, which they can, but also if you have to start tying people's hands behind their backs to give the other guy a chance at winning the discussion kind of becomes mute. Then there's Cell. Even if they were on a somewhat even level of power, Cell is a completely different ballpark to anything even comparable to a Viltrumite. They'd have to find a way to destroy his core, and considering he was able to literally explode and survive, that'd be quite the trick without something like a Kamehameha wave that is a literal death-laser made of pure bio-energy.
