Next time you go, it's worth a stop to the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park visitor center just west of Borrego Springs. They have a short nature trail, interesting exhibits, and a short movie highlighting the park's features. Of course, there's a small gift shop with books, maps, and other goodies.

Hey Marc. If you're heading up to Disneyland, stop at Treasure Island Park in Laguna Beach during golden hour. On my last US trip, I had a surprize visit at this amazing beach - and I highly recommend it!
